High Elf Denial

Honestly, any Blood Elf that still calls itself a High Elf doesn’t deserve to be in Silvermoon, as they won’t even honor their own peoples most tragic event. And the way their King decided to honor their people by renaming them in their honor.

I am up for that, but people will complain that “blizzard is not giving us high elves”, even if they get exact copy of the blood elves model with a different name.

The argument is that the “race” high elves already exist in the horde.

The can give multiple subsets of high elves to the alliance as a allied race (be them silver covenant elves, dalaran elves, etc), but they cannot just give them “high elves” because the story already exist for the blood elves.

Anyway, I’m going to bed and I’ll end by just copy/pasting my perfectly reasonable backstory for playable High Elves that I wrote in 3 minutes:

It’s nonsensical to have these discussions with people who are so obsessed with flexing their knowledge about the details of all the lore they’ve read, whilst failing to understand the simply reality that Blizzard’s writers just make up a bunch of new lore and story for every new expansion in order to accommodate whatever random crap they want to put into it.
If they want to Haranir into the game, then they just invent a bunch of lore and story to enable that. If they want to put Niffin into the game, then they just invent a bunch of lore and story to enable that. And that’s how they do it with everything and how they’ve always done it before. And if they wanted to do it with High Elves, then they can do it in 3 minutes like I could.

The only fact of the matter that actually does matter, is that Blizzard don’t seem to want to put High Elves into the game in the kind of format players would like to see. And that’s just how it sometimes is. Players give feedback and Blizzard says no. It is what it is.

These ignorant people, with foam at the mouth, will continue to hate the High Elves, even though they have absolutely no understanding of even the basics of Azeroth’s history, their identity, uniqueness, and culture.

The worst part is that Blizzard listens to them instead of those who have been asking for 20 years to add the High Elves to the Alliance.:pensive:

No one has ever objected to such a minor detail.

That is really just nitpicking pointless details for the sake of arguing random lore.

No one who wants High Elves would give two rats about the condition you just expressed, and I dare you to find any kind of player feedback that has ever suggested otherwise.

Ridiculous.

Lies and Slander! We love the Blood Elves and honor their History by not refering to them as High Elves.

From wowpedia, ‘high elf’ article:

"Years after the Third War, the high elves were in a state of diaspora. Most resided in human cities like Stormwind City and Dalaran. Others live in seclusion in the wild forests, often in hunting lodges such as Farstrider Lodge. Several high elves have also integrated into Theramore under the leadership of Lady Jaina Proudmoore.

Deep within the Hinterlands, the high elves of the Quel’Danil Lodge used their outpost as a center of communication, while their ambassadors were working to establish diplomatic relationships with other races of the Alliance, with whom they shared their knowledge of the Witherbark trolls that inhabit the area in the southern Hinterlands. At some point they made an alliance with the Wildhammer dwarves, much to the ire of their common enemy, the Revantusk trolls. Otho Moji’ko of the Revantusk Tribe instructed Horde adventurers to slaughter as many Highvale elves as possible, while Oran Snakewrithe enlisted the same adventurers to burn documents that recorded the Highvale elves’ communications with the other races and other information. However, their actions were unsuccessful, as the Highvale elves still retained the documents, which also included deaths, births, and seasons.

In the Plaguelands, High Priestess Aurora Skycaller, originally found in Northpass Tower helped the Alliance adventurers to recreate the Crystal of Zin-Malor. Later she moved to below Quel’Lithien Lodge as the tower became a battlefield. Later, Nathanos Blightcaller sent Horde adventurers to ransack the Quel’Lithien Lodge in order to recover the Quel’Thalas Registry, which contained his true identity before he became undead.

A small unit of high elven rangers under the command of Ranger Captain Fellari Swiftarrow fought together with the zealous Scarlet Crusade against the undead for a while, though they were lost in battle. A large statue in honor of the capable elven leader was erected in the Scarlet Monastery."

Maybe not in big numbers, but high elves existed, and lived together with the Alliance.

And the horde committed genocide against the blood elves. Trolls and orcs, killing elves in numbers greater than anyone else!

“You elves are here to serve the Alliance: thus, you will obey my commands to the letter! Is that clear?” -Garithos

I can see why the Elves left, at least we treat them with respect

Mind you, that’s how a General talks to their KING!

Those individuals are still part of a race called high elves even tooltip said that ingame hovering over them. And i would not even try argue the numbers. Blood elves of silvermoon retconed in wow were left in such small numbers that they maybe even compared to those in alliance hubs. Blood elves were still planned to be playable race for the alliance in tbc which a different topic. But probably it was decision that was in a play since vanila but then changed perhaps.

I mean they should have come up with something give them special tattoes like aleria had since w2 to distunguish them. I mean we have 3 dwarf races and now with haranir 3rd night elf rig. Thus why not 3rd blood(high) elf rig?

We actually have even more. But you don’t see the Dwarves going crazy in the Forums with “WE WANT WILDHAMMER DWARVES!” They are happy just being Dwarves and having access to the Cosmetics.

You don’t respect the High Elves of Quel’Dorei :imp:

I meant like in terms of playable rigs. Sure make 4th rig at this point call it wildhammer dwarves. (Not huge fan of this lazy allied race crap) was cool in bfa

The Quel’Dorei are no more.

“We must put this misery behind us. We must enter a new chapter! And so I say to you that, as of this day, we are no longer high elves! In honor of the blood that was shed… in honor of Anasterian… as of this day we will take the name of our royal lineage! As of this day, we are sin’dorei! For Quel’Thalas!” -Kael’Thas, Last king of Silvermoon.

Is not true for the void elves too? Small radical group seeking the corruptive dark forces of the void.

How dare you? You ignorant undead! Yrel and her army of light will come for you and burn all evil in Azeroth! :imp:

Which was also heavily criticized when they were first introduced. As it went against Blizzards own words, of never implementing a Race that couldn’t be explained as having a large enough populartion to include Player Heroes.

Void Elves are 100% a Fan Service for Alliance who wanted High Elves, but enough is never enough.

Ah yes. The Fuhrer of Alternative Draenor… I honestly wish we’d see more of her. I want to fight the Evil Light! Xe’ra gave us a nice taste of what the Light is really all about :smiling_imp:

Cool, so we can make a race labeled “High Elf” and describe it as “The High Elves of the Silver Covenant”, following your very own logic.

You can’t “yoink” your own name and by your own admission the Blood Elves are no longer named “High Elves”.

“The High Elves of the Silver Covenant”

You are massively reaching and grasping at straws, and everyone here sees it.

Love how you point this out and the others totally ignored your feedback as they are to busy trolling.

You produce a great post but the warlock is to busy acting up to even say anything.

I think the Evil Light the one of the biggest paradox expression in the Warcraft universe. It has the same meanig as bright darkness.
