I feel I might be better suited to this convo if I post on my main until vulpera came out.
I’m not fully against anything that would keep them void themed.
I worry lighter hair might make them so high elf they no longer pass as void elves unless in combat.
But Black hair and palest of pale skin still works for me 100%
Wait hold on, there’s nothing said about hair colors, I doubt they will add any natural hair colors (that includes both black and white) because they will say it didn’t work for them.
They didn’t say. But looking at the Void elf NPC’s Having black hair, and the high demands of want for it, it could be a possibility.

That’s the point of this new options. So we can make them look like High Elves lol but their void options won’t go anywhere and they will get more. High elf options are only skin and hair colors that’s all. Which they are getting now
And we shall see what the future brings.

At the moment Void Elves will get the pale skin tones which blood elves use, nothing said about hair colors but judging by how most people want them they might happen (though I don’t believe that will happen, I want too but I just can’t), they are getting these options so players can make High Elves. But more void themed options will be added later when allied races will get their turn.
Tbh if we aren’t getting normal hair colors I am gonna be done with WoW.

Not for being full swaps
I know, but like I said most people want the hair colors. And it would be very bad if they stopped at 90%, better to go at 100% and be done with these high elf requests.
i fear there will never be a 100% though unless they are a fully playable race on their own right.
I think the High elf ones given in Shadowlands beta are the final product (for now at least) wether they add more in 9.1 or beyond is a mystery, but they are having discussions about it.

He did say “a few High elf customization” and what we got in beta is probably what they meant by “a few”.
There won’t ever be High Elves as their own allied race at this point. They said both factions are getting High elf options and that’s gonna be the playable “high” elves to an extent.
So yeaa Blood elves can play fully high elves as the alliance gets another compromise yep that sounds fair…

Newsflash: We’ve been able to do that for the past 14 years. This aint something new.
My character for example could easily pass for a Dalaran socialite.
What we got is not just a compromise. Blizzard tried their best to give us High elves. Especially when you look at Ian’s comment, you would think Skin colors and eye colors wouldn’t even be an option to begin with. But the fact they did that, showed they actually cared and they actually tried. You can complain all you want, but I for one am happy 100%
Give us KT hair colors may be an option to turn of the void in the hair and make them braids instead of tentacles. Just give us the full High elf fantasy. or some human hairstyles.
Well good for you? I just want to RP a fully high elf. not something that is half baked.
The thing is they didn’t try at all. It was shown how lazy they were. They didn’t even bother to change the underwear, nail polish and faces.
