Dear Blizzard, we are still waiting and hoping for patch 12.1 or 12.2, where you could finally fulfill the long-standing wish of thousands of players and add High Elves to the Alliance. Midnight - is the perfect moment to make it happen
High Elves want to return home, back to the Alliance. They’ve been wandering for twenty years across Azeroth: in Dalaran, in Outland, in scattered enclaves far from their origins. It’s time for them to find peace and return to where they truly belong
And about the people writing “haha a third elf race, no thanks” – these comments aren’t real arguments. They’re just negativity for the sake of negativity. Players asking for High Elves aren’t demanding anything extreme or harmful. They simply want their favorite fantasy to be represented in the game they love. There’s nothing wrong with that.
The claim that “elves already exist in the horde” also misses the point. Blood elves are not High Elves. Their story, their choices, their identity took a completely different direction. They embraced fel usage, aligned themselves with the horde and rebuilt their society on entirely new foundations. They are their own path now. High Elves are something else entirely
And let’s be honest: the game already showed that one visual model doesn’t lock a race to one faction. Look at the Pandaren. One people, two factions, split by values, ideology and worldview. Nobody said it was “too much”, nobody claimed the factions became redundant. It actually enriched the game world, not weakened it. High Elves would do the same, and even more, because they’ve always been tied to the Alliance in lore and spirit
On top of that, High Elves are one of the most recognizable classic fantasy archetypes: noble, magical, loyal to tradition. Their presence in the Alliance feels natural and iconic. They belong there historically, aesthetically and narratively. Many players have been waiting for this for over a decade, supporting every hint, every blue-eyed NPC, every minor appearance
