High Elves in 12.1 šŸ’™

I find it interesting how OP references these so-called tens of thousands of players who have been waiting for High Elves for 20 years, yet I have read all 190+ of these comments and only like 2 people are agreeing. Meanwhile, the vast majority are in disagreement and arguing against their addition. And the same old story can be seen across the entire forum whenever this topic is brought up for the 60th time on any given Monday morning.

The truth is that Blizzard gave Void Elves the ā€œnormalā€ skin and blue eye customizations specifically so they didn’t have to make an entirely seperate race. Otherwise, why on earth would they have added these customizations instead of doubling down on void aesthetics and saving them for a seperate High Elven race?

Furthermore, I would like to point out the ridiculousness/irony of those requesting High Elves that call out other races (Earthern) for being copy/paste glorified customizations that very few asked for.

I don’t often engage in these discussions except to see what others are saying, but I am so sick of seeing these High Elf posts flooding the forums, and every time they are met with mass disagreement. Usually if there is a popular movement, you also see topics rising to the top of the game’s subreddit in conjunction with the forums, game chat and social media. It has been a very long time since I’ve seen discussion surrounding High Elves on any other platform beyond official forums. Whenever new races are talked about, the common/popular picks are Ethereals, Sethrak, Ogres, Tuskar and Naga to name a few. There isn’t a significant number of players asking for High Elves.

To close, I would just like to say that from my experience, folks such as OP seem to be in a loud minority, and they overestimate their support. They are as few in number as the High Elves they so vehemently beg for on a daily basis.

End rant.
