High Elves in 12.1 💙

What about the “High Elves” in Silvermoon? Lots of Blood Elves have gone back to having Blue or Yellow eyes after the sunwell was restored, that didn’t make them High Elves. As High Elves and Blood Elves are the same race, they just rebranded themselves to honor the fallen of Silvermoon, after it was attacked by the scourge.

The ones you see in Dornogal are highly likely Blood Elves, not High Elves.

This High Elf Denial needs to stop

Fully agree.

Its the perfect time to have the Alliance aligned High Elves.

You got Void Elves. And you were given the option to have normal elf skin and blue eyes. You got all the High Elves you’ll ever get.

Also, with the Fall of Dalaran, the Silver Covenant no longer have a source of magical energy to feed off. So they’ll need to either become Withered, join the Void or come crawling back to Silvermoon begging to be allowed back in and feed off the Sunwell.

Stop talking nonsense and open your Azeroth history textbook :slightly_smiling_face:

Which are not High elves. Very insightful of you for spoting that.

And the High Elves renamed themselves Blood Elves.

Not “And the race split in two.”

Except the ones that didnt rename themselves.

Maybe I’m the only one in the Horde who hates blood elves. I can’t stand them and have never played them. Only when I needed the racial ability for m+ in BFA did I change races, from tauren to blood elf. But while I was playing it, my heart cried.
I can’t stand them and it makes me sick to play one :woman_shrugging:

So no. I don’t want any more snobbish, snobbish elves in the Horde or Alliance (the void elves are cool, unlike them, even if they have the same skin as the blood elves).

By that logic, the Orc Race should be 7 different races, representing each of the different clans. They’re the same race, but culturally different. Way more so than the High Elves and Blood Elves.

So once we get individual Orc Clan Races, I’ll accept the High Elves

So we moved from all High Elves renamed themselves to Blood Elves to Orcs should have 7 differente races. Some mighty Goal Post move.

But do tell me, since im not versed on the Orc Lore, which are those 7 tribes?

I’d rather be a stinky stone dwarf than another redundant elf race that canonically dwindled to like 20 people and half of them became blood elves anyway.

Dont talk about Void Elfs like that.

It’s what you’re asking. You want a race that is already in the game, but you want it as another culture.

The High Elves beggers kinda reminds me of the US Confederacy. Refusing to accept the new direction and way of their Nation, clinging to a dying past.

And different political motivations.
If blizzard stops representing them on the Alliance side every expansion, ill stop asking for them.

I dont do RL politics on my game forums. Cheers mate, but i do resent the comparison to slavers and racists. Please refrain from doing that.

Why do you think that 20 stinking dwarves (which everyone will forget in three months) can be a playable race, but 20 High Elves, with a long history dating back to Warcraft 3, cannot?

Hopefully the issue will be address in Midnight. And the matter can finally be put to rest. The High Elves are accepted back into Silvermoon and accept their new identity as Blood Elves

And if that happens ill gladly move on. But what if it does not?
What if they keep being represented as Alliance aligned? With their own little hub and leader? Which seems to be the case. Surely you can understand the frustration even if you dont agree with their inclusion.

Then we’ll be able to continue these lovely discussions for another decade

Ah keeps the blood flowing. Maybe if classic + adds High Elves people will move there.
