I’m doing the Divine Storm one, and it’s just very bad.
Locking it behind a group of elite mobs, where you have to fight your way with the group, against those challenging mobs, is great, but when the mobs are +5 more levels, than all your group, and it’s just 90% miss / dodge / parry / glancing / resist, it feels really awful.
I wouldn’t mind if it was some gear or gold of achievement that you can just skip, but we are talking about class abilities, which are mandatory.
It was “easy” to find people to get it at the start (did myself the meta warlock one) but must be a nightmare now. If i was this late (p2 in 2 weeks), i would just wait to lvl 30 and solo it then.
I liked the runes that came with a little challenge. The deadly brew rune for rogues was great for example.
Exactly this, if you didn’t start playing at launch, you’re screwed.
…Except for in 3 weeks when the level cap is raised to 40 and you can one shot all the mobs?
Or you could type ‘/g Hey, could anybody help me get my rune please?’.
I recently helped my level 5 paladin friend get Divine Storm on this Druid, took about 2.5 - 3 hours. I’m sure you’ll manage. Didn’t see any elites btw.
You don’t have friends or guildies? Because that isn’t a problem that Blizzard can fix.

Have you tried making some friends or joining a guild? Every realm has social guilds.

Step 2: type LFG [name of the quest] or location.
Step 3: Repeat step 2 every minute for several minutes.

You’re making some absolutely wild stories here. People are still doing it plenty and as other person noted - you are going be soloing this in your sleep as soon as level 33 next phase anyway.
You will somehow survive that extra 2-3 days without a rune. People did it just fine for 20 years without any runes at all.

No you aint, people played this version of the game for yeaaaars without those rune abilities, they even requested it to comeback!!! It was called classic, and unlike those days we now have better items from BFD green drops and even some new tailoring caster patterns.
Join a guild, make some ingame friends and well just take your time. Even now I see people do the paladin/warlock Q on the daily. You don´t nééd it pre-25 it just makes things easier, can easily wait and do “later”.

Of course, they were - that’s called character levels.
So now you can consider your DS rune be locked behind level, let’s say, 34 - where you will be able to just go and stomp the quest solo.
And before you try - abilities were also locked behind quests on top of hard level requirements. Examples? Rogue poisons, Warlock summons.
You weren’t forced to fight +5 mobs to get your level, so again, take your crappy argument back.
