I just got a laptop as I’m moving, and can’t bring my desktop with me. I got an Asus TUF 17’’ with rtx 3060 6gb, i5 11400H and 16gb ram 144hz screen.
Inside the game I have around 100-144 fps depends on content, but is pretty much on par with my desktop (i7 8700k, gtx 1080ti, 16gb ram fps wise, with same settings on 7 or 10) although, the game feels like it runs in ‘‘slowmo’’, even tho my fps is pretty high. Anyone with similar issue? It does not lag, or drop any fps, but it doesn’t feel as smooth as it should be.
Edit: Also feels like there is some sort of Motion blur activated
Yes, 144hz is activated, tried with Vsync on and off, adjusted graphic settings, nvidia control panel checked, pc on performance mode as well.
Any idea what it could be?
Did you run some CapFrameX or MSI Afterburner benchmark mode to check 1%/0.1% low FPS/frametime chart to see if you have very slow frames in-between fast ones?
No, I actually haven’t. I should check into that, and how it works and what to look for.
I also noticed that the screen gets a flash sometimes with some snowy particles on a line across the screen for like 0.3 sec every 20-40 min dependent on what I’m doing. Think the graphic card itself is faulthy from factory, so I might send it back. I have no idea how to troubleshoot it
edit: It only happens some times, and it happens really fast, but games/movies doesn’t seem affected in performance by it, everything runs super smooth.
edit 2: Easiest way to explain this happening is when you turn on the old tv’s you know(?) the one with VCR and stuff, you get this fast flash with snowy particles and a blink before everything is smooth running.
