High latency / Packet loss

For the last two days I’ve been suffering from constant high ping and packet loss. This has been worse in highly populated zones, but is constant throughout the game and activities.

Having the same issue for the 2 past nights in a row. I’m located in Norway and my ISP is Altibox.

I’ve run pingplotter and pinged all the 3 IPs provided by blizzard to the EU servers and it is the same jump every time: 137.221.78.35 ae1-br02-eqam1.as57976. net

Same problem, ive tried everything available, resetting my network adapter, turningg off router for 10 min and back on, updated lan drivers, updated gfx drivers etc etc etc… it never happens in world content but everytime i go to raid, mythic+ or arena i get high world MS mid fight and everything stands still for 10-20 sec then comes back… litteraly cant play the game atm but im paying for it

Same problem here for the last 3 days, random packet loss especially noticeable while in m+ and raid when fights are longer, but the problem occurs even in open world. Everything stops sometimes for several seconds, sometimes for a second or less and then back to normal. I tried everything Bech said without any result.

I’ve had the same issue for around a week and a bit, which seems to be originating from the server you guys have mentioned. Opened up my own thread but no reply whatsoever.

Seems unlikely that the issue is stemming from all of our ISPs when every other application is working fine and it seems to be affecting a wide range of different countries.

Yeah, there’s nothing we can do personally as the issue is not on any of our ends, it’s the routing through that specific server that is screwing up everything and that’s something they have to fix.

I have been having the same problems too for about a week. My home and world latency were always very steady (~85ms) and now they are bouncing all over the place.
It is most noticeable in raids. I freeze for a few seconds and then everything catches up again. Repeat ad infinitum throughout each encounter and it gets very tiring.

Same problem here.

The latency fluctuation happens more at night when raid schedules are going on. In morning latency seems to be stable. Maybe blizzard servers are being overloaded in a certain period of time in the day, but why? Maybe more and more people logging and raiding due to pandemic restrictions? Maybe servers being ddos’d or something?

I used to have the DCs / Package Loss problem a lot in 2018. Back then, it was something on my ISP’s end (Telenet Belgium). After they replaced my modem, the courant disonnects seemed to have stopped.

Since yesterday I seemed to have disconnected more again. More than before. And it’s not a kind of Disconnect that happened since the previous time (March 2018). During my WoW gaming experience I seem to have 3 types of disconnections:

Instant crash/dc without any reason.
Instant crash/dc after I land on the ground, albeit with a mount, goblin glider, Disengage… This happened a lot in the past 6 months and is still happening. When I try to log in again, I get kicked out instantly because the game thinks I’m still logged in. Waiting a minute usually fixes this problem.
The game starts to lag out and eventually kicks me out. Upon logging in right away I sometimes get stuck on the “logging into game server” part.

I want to stress that I had no disconnects at all on Sunday and since yesterday they suddenly came in bigger amounts, just like 2 years ago. This makes me worried. I also did all the router restart thingies & what not.

Bringing this problem to Telenet will have them tell me it’s not on their end and they’ll refer me to Blizzard. And last time Blizzard said it’s on the ISP’s end. As a customer of both companies, this leaves me rather frustrated.

For about 4 weeks now i have same problem, it happens only when i join arenas most like, my ms from 50 (which is normal for me and my country, Greece) it going up to 300ms+ so cant do anything. some times happens to dungeons also and ofc i tried everything blizzard said about deleteing WTF files etc etc. nothing happend…lets hope they fix it on that reset cuz hell man…this makes me so dissapointed. i also failed +17 key bcuz of that on SotS.but then somehow i dont have that issue on raids.
