High Latency

I’m from Bangladesh but I’m playing in the EU region. Normally my ms is 180-200 which is pretty good for me but lately (4-5days) I’m having over 2k ms most of the time. The only time I get good ms is server time 5 am or after.

Thank you.

Hi Zsus!

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing latency issues! To start with, please do try the steps here:

Hope this helps!

Yours,

Arythwinn

ya actually i tried all those  those are the most common things when somebody facing any lag issue. even in home ms is decent, sometimes world ms is so high even in broken shore/northrend (low populated area) . And it has nothing to do with country or is it ?

Got totally same issue for the last 2-3 days. Normally got 70-90ms but last 3 days i have 400-1500ms and lag spikes and random disconnects etc.
I am not sharing any tracert command here because reply will be the same
Just waiting if its on Blizzard’s end to solve issue.

ya its so bad right now even i saw few other posts about lag or ms issue and they didn’t even get any reply

i got lag every evening it seems 20-23pm always 70ms but now at evening i get 200ms

Same issue for the past 2 days, everytime i do some content like raid, arena etc i get really high world ms, if im just doing quests in world or whatever, nothing… no lag… but instantly when we pull a boss on mythic nylothia… worst timing and it keeps happening so annoying i cant play any content

ive tried everything to fix it, updated all drivers, reset network drivers, followed all the trouble shooting tips blizzard gives, reset router, still happening… even tried without any addons etc, nothing works

PS: This only happens in WoW, not any of the 140 other games i have that dosent require subscription

ya, exactly my elder scroll online is just doing fine. but they seem doesn’t care at all I guess. its a technical support and what support we got at the end? Nothing

Sounds like somewhat the same as I have.
Before friday the 17th of April, WoW Classic was running smoothly at around 25ms on my computer. Suddently this changedfrom day to day with ms going from 400-800ms, usually sitting around 500-600ms.Wednesdaythe 22 of April it was back to 25ms all day again, I hoped it was fixed only to find it back to 600ms the day after.
The internet speed has been tested, it’s good.
Other games on this computer has been tested, they do not lag either.
It seems to only be WoW Classic.I hope for your help on this as I have tried searching for solutions without luck and I would like to still be able to be subscribed and play the game. So hopefully we get a solution for this soon, otherwise the game just cannot be played.

A few weeks ago they had a problem like this, a lot of people complained, then it got better for a while for me, now its broken again. I raid mythic and do m+'s and its literally unplayable at the moment.

Where are you guys from out of curiosity? From my observations this problem seems to be happening when the route goes through Paris.

im using only 50 mb of addon
got pretty much decent internet connection
no background apps running i check every time whenever i open any game on my laptop
and here i am couldn’t do a single wq and having 7k ms right now :))
we know people are working from home so its hard but at least let us know that its hard ,not just leave us on f***ing read

I play from Japan, on EU servers.
Last few days my latency suddenly increased significantly, around noon and later EU time it seems.
This is 100% only a problem in Wow Classic, I can use the internet normally, stream content, and play other games with no particular latency whatsoever.
I have not changed any addons or settings or anything like that for weeks.
Turning off/deleting addons does not affect this at all.
it always happens perfectly during our raid times and since I am raid leader and main tank it is really very bothersome, please fix this quickly.

its not only wow is all the battle.net game i play on eu and at evening the latency goes up to 300ms every day 20pm-23pm

My Ping in Wow Classic at the moment is between 200 and 800
Quite easy to see that the problem must be near the Blizzard Server… why?
In Instances the Ping is clearly better around 100.
Not where it should be, but more playable.

Alltough I’m 100% sure this is a problem on BSide, I tried your suggestion. To no avil! Removed all Addons and so… nothing.
If I run internet speedtests, I get lower pings then in WoW, even if I choose servers on the other side of the EU.

What a bump, yes.

I am suffering the same problem. Across ALL Blizzard games. Tried the renew IP & flush… nothing.

Thing is, it is happening on HEARTHSTONE too! I can’t even play a game without disconnecting two to three times!
