Good Day,

Normally I run consistantly at 158ms. Now at times, like this evening, I went to over 4k ms. This has been happening for 4 weeks now and calls have been logged with ISP’s with no luck.

Sorry to hear that you’ve been experiencing large spikes in latency when you are playing in the evenings. Spikes like this are very common with internet traffic shaping or possibly congestion if there are other issues.

With packet shaping Many ISP’s do employ this however it typically has a stronger application during busier times of the day or during the weekend purely due to there being greater load on the lines as more people are using the internet during these times.

While short, your MTR’s do show some potential packet loss starting between the 4th and 5th nodes. These are outside of our network and something your ISP would be looking to look into. A longer MTR test may yield some more conclusive results in that regard which can be used by your ISP to narrow down the cause.

Aside from this, you may be able to work around it in your particular case by using a different connection such as your phones LTE connection.

Good Day,

I raid again only Wednesday again can so only properly check again them. I will try to see maybe in LFR if I see same spikes bteween 20:00 and 21:30 server time when I see it at it’s worst. I will also run for loonger times.

Hi again,
I would assume it is possible that we experience the disruptions at highest peaks of usage from say the destinations visible with high latency. Maybe the load balancing is not too great, hence some players get disconnected.
I would wait for some insight from Blizzard support on the matter.

Been having insane lag since 17.00ish oclock, my ISP says it’s not on their end, and my other net based services are working fine. I seem to be the only one in the guild and among my friends who got this issue with WoW at the moment. Restarted router and computer and it didn’t help. Is there a connection issue with the server? Ms is bouncing between 200-1700 (usually have 20ish). I havent had this issue in many years but today it was totally unplayable. :frowning:

Hi @Mosinathus,
We need insights here as we are practically blocked from ascending throughout the game having such high latency spikes.
I see that there are many many posts by players in regards to this kind of issue.
Is there any general discussion you could refer us to?
Any reference to ongoing posts/discussions will be appreciated.
