for weeks ive had high ms and lagg in classic but in bfa is fine ive done all the steps on site,unistalled wow ,i got a new router still the same any help would be great’

Definitely a bit odd that the problem isn’t happening in BFA, since most issues that wouldn’t be resolved by the regular troubleshooting steps you mentioned you tried already would typically affect both.
Is it happening at all times, or just in specific areas or during specific times? Roughly what kind of latency reading are you getting in-game for each version?
Could you please also run a Pathping and share the results in a pastebin or similar?
Edit: A common cause for this looks to be ASUS/ROG “GameFirst” software, so that might be a good first place to look and see if removing it makes any change.

This really helped me find the problem that gave me high ms in Classic but not in retail. It was that damn GameFirst program all this time! Thanks for the heads up, Tyrskorn!
Hade same issue and the Asus/Rog “GameFirst III” was the cause of the ms problem
