High packet loss (as57976 server)

Hello, for a while I’ve had very high world and home MS. My internet speed is not too bad but it only seems to be occuring on WoW. I’ve run WinMTR (Looking Glass doesn’t have my realm - Argent Dawn) and here’s the .txt.:

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider

Not sure what the problem is. I’ve seen many people having problems with as57976. Would like to know if there’s any possible solution, thanks in advance.

Checking the results there im not going to deny there does not seem to be an issue at the server you mentioned but im also seeing problems happening all througout this connection test which could be playing into the results your seeing later on.

The number you see next to the server name is the % of packet loss and ideally this should be at 0. Right from the start though your showing packet loss and it continues all throughout the test. Additionally the very first line is saying that the worst attempt it made took 4446ms which is super long! Then on line 3 it peaks again to a high number and on line 8. Then on line 9 you have 92% packet loss.

I’ll of course note the results after it connects to us so it can be checked out but you might want to address the issues that are happening early on in the connection. If you show these results to your internet provider, they should be able to check the issue further inbetween your PC and our servers and hopefully find out what’s causing it to fix the issue.

Thank you very much for having a look!

I ran an MTR again and it looks like the 4446ms must have been a hiccup from my end, as my connections tend to be unstable (WiFi extenders!). To be honest, I’m not quite sure what the 92% packet loss refers to, as I’m not familiar with that URL. It seems every time I run an MTR, the packet loss for that particular line is always high.

This morning my connection was quite stable, but I forgot to run an MTR. It seems that the latency spikes in the evenings. Currently my worst ms to all servers apart from as57976 is below 500, averaging between 20-60. As for as57976, average ms is 200-300, worst being 3900.

I’ll paste a .txt of tomorrow morning’s MTR and also try to get hold of the ISP and let them know about it too.

If you find the new MTR is stable in the days but high in the evening that would be extra information that would be very helpful for your Internet Provider when you reach out to them. Hope it’s something they can get sorted quickly
