High World Latency, normal home latency

Hi,
Last 3 days my world latency is over 200 ms, I tried flushing my DNS, renewing my DNS, contact with my isp, digging through forums, changing files to “old” - yet couldn’t find a solution to fix it. I don’t have any problems with other games and my home latency is as usual. I hope you can help me.

Same here home latency 70 world latency flick up since 23-24

Having the same thing for 3-4 days, 200+ world ms and 100- home ms.

same problem i am having last 3 days , high ms was never an issue before but these 2-3 days something changed from either blizz side or isp side , i tried so many things to fix it but no help.

Don’t think it is isp side. I tried other games while looking at WoW’s ms but they’re ok meanwhile WoW is lagging.

Looking over those WinMTR logs, it’s showing between 8% and 75% packet loss just from your system to your router, which is going to be massively impacting the performance of the game, since that’ll mean that a majority of the data needs to be re-sent.

Generally when I see that level of loss, it’s either down to using WiFi and having a whole heap of interference, or using a powerline adapter that’s either not operating properly, or on really old wiring which isn’t transmitting the signal properly. If you’re on ethernet, it could also be that the cables aren’t plugged in properly, or are damaged.

We always recommend a direct ethernet connection between your system and router, both for the performance improvement it brings, and because any issues on that part of the journey makes it incredibly difficult to diagnose anything further down the chain, as the baseline isn’t stable.

These are mine though there is not much latency right now it changes over time.

Those results don’t tell us much if everything’s behaving properly currently, but if you do start having high latency again, that’d be the best time to run the WinMTR test to gather useful data.
