Highborne Balance Druid?

So I’ve been thinking about RPing a highborne, and was wondering if it would be lore-friendly to be a balance druid rather than a mage?

Well there is far more lore behind Mage, and it would make sense for a highborne to study Arcane magic ( do remember all what you had to go through to survive, like in dire maul where they feed on a demons magic to survive and when that start lacking they killed their own people to lower the demand of magic ) It is not like a Highborne cant become a balance druid or a druid, but it takes a far longer training with small victories and a connection to the wild and nature and knowing that your magic has a grander price then just power. where mages is more about study, pratice, and power. That being said you could RP as a Highborne who use astral magic a more nature based Arcane magic, or something like that.

I thought druidism similar to shamanism, that you sort of “hear the nature’s call” and not something that you study in the same factual way as arcane? It might be unlikely but not impossible that a Highborne felt the nature calling after being introduced to the Night elf society again? I don’t know. If it’s the gameplay as a balance druid you want though you could be a mage IC

Another way to interpret this, a Highborne Astromancer. The kind of the “eldreth sorcerers”.

Notice how they had druid-like vibe back then.

Balance druid spells + glyph of Stars looks neat for that. You’ll just have to find cloth-looking leather transmog, which is easy now with shirts.

I am not a role player and I don’t know how RP works but I am an avid fan of lore. Lorewise Highborne druids do not exist, they are actually polar opposites if you read War of the Ancients trilogy.
