I am on Alliance side and I am curious is the reputation with this faction account wide or character only because I would like to unlock Highmountain Tauren race and also to try to obtain the moose that you get from chests when you hit exalted.
Also, how hard is to hit exalted? I am considering should I try to get highmountain reputation moose or the leatherworking white one (already got the archeology moose). Really like how they look and they fit well for me, as dwarf shaman, especially with mountain/primal low fantasy mogs.
Greetings! The reputation is character-only unfortunately. That said, exalted is pretty easy to get. Shouldn’t take you more than a week or so.
The mounts and the transmog you get from hitting exalted and from looting the paragon chest are account-wide however.
Edit: It appears I misunderstood the question. My apologies, friend. If you’re asking whether you can get the Highmountain allied race and the Highmountain Tribe reputation rewards on your Alliance character, you can! The reputation and its associated rewards are not faction-specific.
You don’t need reputation to unlock them anymore anyway. You need to get the achievement of doing the highmountain storyline (that one is account wide) and then do the unlock quests with a level 45 or higher horde character.
So by just doing quests (storyline) and world quests daily you should be able to reach exalted in about 2 weeks? That’s not that bad and time consuming, I expected to be much more.
I love totemic cosmetc things you get with reputation, mount and toys as well.
Will try to grind it for sure, but Leatherworking moose (the white one) should be easier to obtain (questline + maxing the profession), and also it’s easier to combine it with mogs since it’s white.

Indeed, it’s quite fast these days! You can also spam normal Neltharion’s Lair to farm the reputation of you want to get it even faster, since the third boss (the worm) grants reputation with Highmountain Tribe.
I would recommend getting this one. I managed it and if I can do it almost everyone should be able to. My eyesight is bad and I fail a lot of things, couldn’t do that Avianna’s glide through the orbs thing. I did kind of cheat and use a flying mount to follow the white moose but that was the only way I’d manage it.
As for the rep, Alliance side is fine. I unlocked Highmountain Tauren and only have the rep on one Alliance char.
