On our server, hive thistles are 35g. Given that all of the new alchemy pots need 2-3 for each craft, that’s a bit steep. This is caused by them only dropping from normal herbs in silithus, and not even every time. Given how many of these are consumed that’s not a good solution.
Obsidian infused thorium bars are 700g. Some crafted armor needs 16 of those. That’s ridiculous. When we full cleared Temple of AQ yesterday we got only 6 large shards, enough for 3 bars.

worst feeling is when you finaly find large obsidian note and you get a bloody arcanite crystal.
It’s always so on release of the new content, prices for raid mats are always ridiculous high on week 1. Just wait some time and prices will drop.
If we only drop enough materials for 3 bars in a 20 man raid ID, and single items need 12, 15 or 16, then no, they will not come back down.
Hehe yir, at this speed a team of 20+ man, Can have like 36 bars at the time Naxx is out.
Theres 25 items needing this items for crafting, a lot of them are librems,totems and idols.
For the prise to drop, there most higher supply then there is a demand.
Lest say you have 2 tank 3 paladins/shamans 3 druids in your setup, That’s a total of 44 bars per raid team as minimum. And there’s still caster trinket/aoe shield/gear/weapons your team my like to get to.
You really don’t have to be a rocket science to figure out These Number doesn’t Add up. Even if we take into consideration that you can farm in open world, The gap between whatever you can get from raid and what is needed in total is still too great, compered withe the chance of it to drop from note in open world.
Will drop in price, just like the new spellranks will drop, nobody crazy enough to buy those books for 350+

Offer and demand. Problem is , when people are rading , we have 3 or 4 layers. When people are farming , we have only one layer and one single area where to farm those.
So we have 3 or 4 layers worth of people consumming , and 1 layer that people can farm. You see the problem ?

the Boxes have way to low [Hive Thistle] and [Large Obsidian Shard] drops, open 10 boxes, not a single one. only scarabs and idols, the extra keys there allready added was fine, this just destory scarabs and idols. with [Hive Thistle] and [Large Obsidian Shard] still have a huge issue.
were at a point a Black lotus is easyer to farm XD

[Large Obsidian Shard] let it be a low world chance, but have it drop 4x or 5x the amount from the raid’s
