Hivemind requirements?

Hello, I was wondering what the requirements are to start the hunt for the hivemind mount. I know from the guide you need 5 people for the second half.

But is there anything else? Does each of the 5 people need to be a specific level, or have a large amount of gold, or can we just make a group and start?

Also the first half is soloable. Does that mean each of us 5 will need to do that traject individually?

These things weren’t really clear for me from the wowhead guide. :slight_smile:

The only thing that everyone needs is the Talisman of Treasure Tracking from Griftah. Once the group of 5 section starts, the group needs 1 monocle of each colour between them. 1 Red, 1 Green, 1 Blue and 1 Yellow.

One person in the group won’t be using a monocle at all throughout the group section, but the other four will need to be having one of the above monocles equipped so they can attack a certain NPC, that when brought down to 1HP begins channeling a spell. When all 4 NPCs are channeling their spells at the same time, it lets the person without a monocle into a room, where the code for the next step will be generated by clicking on a cat toy and taking damage. The number of damage taken being the code.

Other than that, there’s not much else, other than patience and voice communication.

You need 5 people for both parts.

The Hivemind mount is split into 2 big parts as Ursarvis was mentioning :
-finding the monocles
-doing the last part of the puzzles together

When finding the monocles it’s best to split up 4 people so each person gets a different colors then the last puzzles all 5 of you have to do them together.

So this means that we need 4 monocles as a group, so I can get just one and my teammates also need to get one, but none of us needs to get all four, right?

Exactly that’s what it means.

The monocles differ in difficulty so you can also keep that in mind when spreading the group.

Well thet’s good, maybe I will have easier time getting 4 people to get the mount with me :wink:

I’d say try to fiind some people sooner rather than later. They just announced the hivemind is meant to be bonded only by the people doing it so all the groups that do m+ and usually friends/raids will do it togheter so they can bond leaving less people available to do the hivemind.
