…all this chaos around the game being in such a bad state, that even the believers are starting to think the game is dying, are infact…

Because the game actually is! and the company knows is, and are working on a World of Warcraft 2 ! with a new focus more in line with what the players want from the ground up. Hence why they aint spending a lot of time communicating with the community and fixing stuff we want.

im home sick from work, and my brain might just have farted idk.

If you have terminal cancer and at the moment you’re still healthy and OK to do exercise and the like, you’re still dying. Just because you’re not on your death bed, with a few minutes of your life remaining, doesn’t mean you’re not dying.

I mean a lot of people would argue a game like WoW wouldn’t be dying if it had even a few hundred players left.

However, a constant trending decline and a peak drop of 12 million is rough.

People aren’t going to play the same game forever.

The servers will probably get shut down at some point in the future, but that’s a long way off yet, like, a really long way off.

I do not see the point of WOW 2. This would mean you have 3 WOW games out there: classic, current WOW, and whatever WOW 2 will be. Based on what Blizzard said at Blizzcon, they are planning mobile games for all their ips, this means the next WOW spinoff will probably be a mobile one.
