[H/N-Pandaria-RP] A Feast of Many Flavours 🐼 (23rd July)

All across the world celebrations for the Midsummer Fire Festival had drawn to a close. There was much competing, revelry, journeying and friendship, yet in the end the holiday had to subside with the seasons and folks braced themselves for that interminable period until Brewfest.

However, before all the banners of the Summer Flame could be pulled down and packed away, couriers from Orgrimmar entered Honeydew Village. From there fleet-footed Huojin monks disseminated throughout Pandaria, delivering missives written in Pandaren and Common to the various principalities, towns, and provinces from Zhu to Zouchin. It reads:

ā€œKind greetings comrades and kinsmen! Heed this sincere invitation, extended by the Most Honourable Ronin of the Huojin, to all talented chefs, defenders, and citizens of our Fair and Blessed Homeland!

Mark the day and sally forth to Halfhill on the 23rd of July! Those who dare shall find a feast of many flavours awaiting them in that peaceful town, as well as a play conducted by the Huojin for your entertainment. Let us all bask in the beauty of the realm that so many gave their lives to preserve from the forces of darkness!

Traditional Pandaren cuisine will tempt you, alongside authentic Shal’dorei pastries and other dishes the likes of which Pandaria has never seen! Partake of this smorgasbord and experience our world’s exotic cultures via the truest of means – your stomach!

To wit, it is our sincere hope that those talented pandaren cooks and Masters of the Ways will grace us with their skills, and join in sharing their talents from all across the continent at our table. Whosoever bears interest and wishes to reserve a spot of their own is encouraged to write to ā€˜Cao Hao Plunderpaw’ in Honeydew Village expressing such.

Be you Huojin or Tushui, Mainlander or Islander, Native or Foreigner – if you hold Pandaria in your heart, we look forward to seeing you all on the twenty-third!ā€

(( Well, there you have it. Our first effort to try and give back to the community! I’d like to think that it’s pretty self explanatory, but just to be crystal clear, here’s a summary of the shtick IC and OOC! ))

  • A feast at Halfhill on July 23rd, hosted by the Ronin, starting at 8PM ST. Participants can expect to arrive early.
  • Various Guilds and/or racial groups of the Saurfang Legion may set up stalls/tables of their own culture’s delicacies.
  • Pandaren characters and Pandaria-themed guilds are invited to put up a stall too! The space in Halfhill ought to allow for quite a few to get crammed in alongside one another.
  • Seeing as Halfhill is a neutral town, EVERYONE is in fact welcome to come along and partake in a night of chilled out RP. Logically, it’d make sense if they at least have some connection to Pandaria, or hear news from there if nothing else!
  • Likely no more than an hour (time TBD) after starting, there’ll be a brief original skit by the daring Ronin in the typical Pandaren fashion; AKA, a play. Hope nobody gets stage fright!

(( That’s it. Just a good ol’ fashioned Pandaren cook out with friends and fun in a beloved zone.

Even if your character isn’t a chef, don’t be afraid to get in touch IC. This is primarily meant to act as a good excuse for all sorts of characters to get into an unfamiliar environment with foreigners and pandaren alike, learn something new, celebrate, and segue into further RP! ))

Here I’ll keep a list of those groups/individuals that’ll be hosting their own ā€˜spots’ at the feast. I’m predicting at least 5 or 6 free spots for bold souls if the various Foreign orders all take up the call. As of now the definite confirmations are:

  • Ronin
  • Moonlight Melody AKA Sisterhood of Fal’adora
  • Hand of Conquest
  • Red Venturers
  • Dustpaw Caravan

Fresh sign-ups will be edited into the list! Message Neerdowell on Horde or PM me on discord at Abaddon#3249 if you wanted to shoot any questions.

WHERE’S THE LAMB SAUUUUUUCE ?!

I would LOVE to come on my ā€œDacoā€ chef! Basically Tacos, but y’know… WoW-ified!

Are you a Pandaren Daco chef by chance? I’m sure there’s SOME cultural significance in any case. Shoot me a PM sometime and we can chat. Plenty of room, so I don’t foresee any issues there!

Ohhh, nah, Goblin. Is it Pandaren only for people selling?

I’m not sure if anyone in the Painted Shields is a cook, but we could come along.

That was indeed the idea, hence,

But! Spots aren’t flying out the window, and perhaps there’s a case to be made for goblin culture? I’m sure we can work something out!

Look forward to seeing the Painted Shields there, too. That’s when the real party starts.

Looking forward to seeing the colourful Red Venturers and the Dustpaw Caravan! You should come along and meet these dignified folk, and see what they have to provide.

Just under a week until the fateful day, but still more than enough time to decide to come along for a chilled-out night of RP. Pandaria is the place to be.
