Holding shift makes rattling noice and increase temp, fps and power consumption even if capped

I accidentaly noticed that if i hold my right shift key for few seconds,it will increase power consumption, temperature and fps even if i cap it in my amd adrenaline,it also makes some kind of rattling sound inside case,at this happens only when playing WoW. What could cause this ?

Sounds bizarre, I haven’t noticed such behaviour.

Couple ideas:

  • Check that you haven’t enabled Windows’ accessibility feature “Sticky Keys”. Disable shorcut for it as well - if I remember right shift is used for the shortcut.
  • Check any overlays and try running the game without them.
  • Check AMD’s software for any keyboard shortcuts or similar features which might change performance profile.

Rattling sounds like a hardware issue. Maybe some cable is hitting one of the fans when they increase speed. Check that cables are secured and nothing is in a position to hit the fans.
