I think the new beacon sucks.its right in the middle of the screen comon blizzard i love my holy paladin
Now I will stop playing on my paladin as holy :S
plus the new beacon makes it easy to see where they are.
cant you make a glpyh to remove such a beautiful animation :slight_smile:
and It bothers me that Holy Shock uses the omnidirection cast animation as opposed to the directional one, or hell even the same that freedom/blessing uses where they open the book and wave outwards.

For races like Belf, the omnidirectional animstion looks odd with Holy Shock.

I kinda like the beacon thingy. Coupled with the new wings. My healing feels more impactful, for some odd reason(Super saiyan, whoo. Cringe). But yeah, I can see why it’s annoying.

My main is a Holy Paladin and I have to say I really like the Beacon animations, it does help me see where the tanks are in the raid (though it appears that others cant see it which is a shame, less need to mark tanks), however the only new animations I really do not like are Holy Light and Absolution/Ressurection. What on earth is that book about??

We are in the thick of it in a raid and it looks like my character takes out a book and starts reading, then realizes the book is 50 shades of grey and reached a mucky part and throws the book up in the air before anyone spots me reading it. It looks daft… I realize Pallies used to use Librams, but this looks more like a Mage spell book type thing and I do not like it. It’s an immersion breaker for me.

The book for paladins is pretty much lore based and suites us better than anything else. It’s even on most Paladin art pictures (loading screen since classic etc).

Actually Holy Paladin should be 1h/2h with a book and not with a shield.

I get that and agree with the libram lore… but it just seems odd that in the point of battle we are scrolling through a book… then seem to throw it up in the air… it’s the animation thereof rather than the book itself for me.

You are aware that when you cast beacon you only see that light for like second and two?It’s only the paladin that see’s it all the time.

I really like the new animations, as nothing other than simply a change of pace.

Holy light and Wings stand out, positively, for me. Flipping through your book in the heat of battle? Who knows. For now, I like it. :slight_smile:

But, for me, holy paladin is only playable with a shield.

I am happy, people can transmog as they wish, for those that like 2h. Win-win.

Easiest solution woudl be to give holy an ability to use both 1h+shield and 2h and just add some bonus hp or armor when you use it so you will end up with similar stats.I enjoyed Legion holy with 2h.

How does it work anyway? I always thought you get (marginal) more D with shield+1h, and (marginal) more dmg with 2h.

By, marginal, I mean, negligible.

Our damage scales from Int not weapon dmg.

Ok, I thought something like that might be at work. Also, I am aware a shield offers miniscule defensive benefit.

Really like the new animations a lot, makes me want to play my holy pala.
