I’m astounded how noob friendly it is to the point of everything is instant cast and some spells you don’t need to have on the spell bar.
Everything is literally based around if you deal damage you do heal, You never go out of mana and you Eternal flame heals for so much so you don’t really or rarely need to press holy light.
(The only complaint i have with holy paladin is why does the Becon of light and faith get removed in dungeons when you target or you dies.)
Part from that the dev team for holy paladin have outdid them self in this season. You have a 16 second with [Echoing Blessings] 45% damage reduction, Which you don’t need to have on you spell bar. It takes care of you, it’s sort of the legion mix you had with auto divine shield. but now for blessing of [Blessing of Sacrifice]. And you get CDR instant cast now too along with a mana back thing you rarely need to use.
I Think the healing for paladin is kind of overturned, all you do is cast [Blessing of Summer] and then crusader strike [Consecration] and judgment and holy shock.
then keep eternal flame up.
What’s the reason for holy light or flash of light on the spell bar when you heal as much with divine toll and word of glory.
I personally think holy paladin needs a looking in too.
For context all other healers I’ve lvld feels weaker in comparison.
This is from my own opinion i think the dev team has made an extremely busted healer with holy paladin, i think it needs nerfs.
It’s a really good healer, and extremely noob friendly, which makes it easy to get good results on.
Best healer in the game? No. There’s a wide range of content and holy paladin isn’t really the best healer in any of them. Very strong though? yes.
Disc is better in M+
And holy paladin is mid of the pack in raids
The fact you only now discovered holy paladin is noob-friendly though is CRAZY. The spec has never, ever been hard to play. It was literally a genuine 1 button spec in wrath where all you pressed was FoL.
What am I reading? Aside from the clickbaiting title (most broken healer ever), the descriptions of holy paladin gameplay is so wrong, it hurts my head reading it. This thread has to be ragebait and I fell for it.
Only true point: Paladin is easy, though totemic Rshaman is arguably a lot easier in M+
Paladin is pretty good in M+ (on par with Rshaman and behind Disc) and totally viable in raid. Except for Disc, all healers feel kinda balanced in raids right now
I’m not sure how this thread is any different than:
The issue with the entire thread is your very limited scope/experience with the spec.
You only (seem to) do M+, which if you have a decent team of DPS and tanks who are interrupting and CCing, the amount of spike, reactive and recovery healing is much less of an issue.
Also any prior M+ experience you have (as tank) lends itself into healing, you know when the spikes are coming and can prepare.
You’re not playing as a caster paladin / spot healer / utility healer, which is the other form(s) of playing Holy Paladin which does focus on Holy and Flash of light more.
It’s especially strong in raids as it can allow you to cover and perform nice recovery while you let the other healing classes in your raid excel at their ramp windows.
In these play-styles Holy light and Flash of light are pretty strong if you spec into amplifying them and not the DPS playstyle.
The DPS play-style relies a lot on “Smart healing” which in recovery can be an issue and it’s one of the drawbacks.
You’re very well geared and because healing relies less on secondary stat priority, just by pure item-level you can do blanket healing through a lot of the content, including 10s (if you have the M+ experience + the right team).
You’ll have an entirely different experience playing at keys higher than your item-level allows you to cheese. (20s).
Even than, damage taken at certain points is still not the primary factor as it’s mostly 1 shots.
Holy Paladin have gotten better since the start of the season, but it’s a mixed bag across the entirety of the game.
Your post(s) seem to just be rage-bait or very closed minded and a lot about look at me and how i've done 10s.
If you want to get a whole picture, do some Mythic raiding, higher keys or even PVP etc where your item level is less of a factor and more on your abilities come into play.
i’m just comparing the other healers to paladin and in 5man content paladin is smashing less keys to press less to no cast timers. meanwhile other healers has to channel and have near to none instant casts.

So i assume you don’t know that Mistweaver Monk is a thing?
holy paladin is broken.
it’s not, almost every healing spec has playstyles with limited casts and channels, will excel at some aspects of healing over others etc.
Holy paladin is typically weaker outside of our cooldown windows, or relies on smart healing which your playstyle does, which means recovery can be harder.
There’s typically differences between M+ and Raid healing talents across most healers, potentially your experiences with other healers is tied to them choose harder hitting but longer cast time heals? shrugs
The OP is pretty clueless (thats an understatement).
He made a thread about a holy trinket thats busted for prot. Turns out you need to channel it (a massive no no for tanks since you can’t block parry or dodge while channeling) and it heals next to nothing anyway.
Honestly, the best response is just to nod politely and back away hoping that this brand of stupid isn’t contagious.
