I used to play holy pala 13 ish years ago and i came back to the game to play my fav expansion and class/spec combo.
Back then i was a fan of healbot and i would bind some buttons to it but mainly i would just left click the target on the healbot frame and then click a keybind to heal. This worked fine.
I watched a video by Holypalaswe and noticed he used mouseover macros for nearly all of his spells.
Thought i’d give it a go, it took a while to get used to Grid and to use mouseover instead of mouse clicking first but man i’m glad i switched because of one LARGE benefit.
Basically by not selecting/left clicking, i keep my enemy target selected and even more importantly, with the startautoattack part in the macro; IT KEEPS AUTO ATTACKING after my healing spell has finished casting!
Now obviously we gain mana when we hit targets so this HUGELY benefits holy pala’s but im sure there are other classes that benefit from mouseover macros for healing as well.
Most will already know all this but i thought i’d post just in case there is one fellow pally out there that isn’t aware, like i wasn’t.
Here is Holy light one, just amend the spell name for the others
