Holy Power bar all messed up

so my holy power bar randomly looks like this after I logged in

any holy power I generate doesn’t even show up on the screen as the whole frame is just completely messed up and I don’t know how to fix it.

tried disabling addons to rule those out, tried using MoveAnything to rectify it but no dice, tried messing around with fstack and macros to move it, but nothing.

anyone got any other ideas to try?

Have you tried the usual PC (not game) related fixes? Meaning graphics drivers, PC temperature, overall health of the computer such as disk fragmentation, virus and/or health of the WoW install itself (with a install repair or complete reinstall) ?

Also completely uninstalling all addons and remaking the addonsfolder completely might also be an idea.

honestly I was considering reinstalling everything, just posted hoping there’d be a solution that didn’t involve me having to either reinstall the whole game or spend an entire day setting up UI / addons for all my characters again just to fix one small UI bug like this.

also no I have not done this as I’m fairly sure it has nothing to do with my problem.

You should never need to reinstall the game.

Possible Solution 1

  • Run the Repair tool from the WoW Launcher (Options > Scan and Repair)

Possible Solution 2

  • With the game not running. Rename your WTF and Interface folders and delete the Cache folder.
  • If the problem goes away then it’s an addon/settings issue and you can start narrowing down the cause.
  • Report back with findings.

At no point should you need to reinstall the game.
