Yeah as soon as i manage to top people, and someone is is dropping again, it feels super clunky building HP with crusader strike and watching people die at the same time, it doesnt feel like i have anything really to mitigate that, Well theres is bop, but Holy shock heals like a wet noodle. Its getting really frustrating in higher keys.
forget holy pala. i see even in group names something like “no hpala”…
so ridiculous
If feels really funny that Blizzard has removed secondary resource from healers, because it doesn’t really fit the gameplay and then slapped it onto Holy Paladin. I would say that HP doesn’t feel that bad if it does big heals. After the 40% HP increase, Holy Paladin feels like being on the ground when comparing raw HPS.
Use your mana resource for your skills to heal (turned into) >
Use your resource for your skills to heal which builds up combo points that reward you to cast special skills (turned into) >
use your resource for your skills which are meaningless fillers that do little which will allow you to reach into the skills you need to use to achieve actual healing
And that healing you achieve in the end is balanced to be on par with others. Ofcourse a design like that feels like a chore and frusturates, especially when there are others who dont have to jump through such loops to achieve better healing. The whole thing suffered from getting balanced without direction blindly based on numbers alone. Whole thing needs a revision. Imo the focus should be taken off from the holy power and holy power generated should be moved to casting buffs and utilities and maybe new abilities, things that arent required to be cast urgently like sotr, avenging wrath, seraphim. Other stuff can be moved to work from hp instead of mana.
A resource generator like Holy Power fits a damage dealer the best, for specs like healing or even tanking it cause more restrictions than anything. Latest logs aswell have Holy Paladin dead last in all percentiles above 80% and in others only barely beating Disc which is getting quite nice buffs while Holy Paladin just like the rest of the Paladin class gets nothing.
Oh well I can’t say nothing they once again push the caster style which techniclly can compete in healing with the melee style. Why would you bring a Holy Paladin though that does close to no damage on boss and still is dead last on healing. Sad truth is without Aura Mastery Paladins would be benched this tier.
Paladins is completely relient on people not being topped fast in order to get good healing in when it comes to raid also, the way Holy Paladin is built especielly taking Awakening into consideration you can’t really play the waiting game either with Holy Power you need to spend it else your wing uptime will be bad and with that your healing.
Not to mention Paladins really strugle with any real output outside of wings so not getting procs at the right time can be insanly tough on you while getting good procs will make fights alot easier for you this is even more true for m+. With the procs on the right spot a boss can feels pretty alright while the next time without the procs be a total nightmare its night and day.
Heck even Shamans who has been described as crap this season and is getting massive buffs is ahead of Holy Paladins. Holy Paladins today is healing spec with a dps rotation and Holy Shock on targets everytime its up thats about it.
Flash heal buffed with infusion of light does a pretty decent amount of healing. But yeah, building HP can sometimes be a real pain in the lower part of your body.
Really? What key levels were they? I mean, I’ve come across some groups stating smth like “dru” or “evoker” or “heal with bl” (some stuff like that) but haven’t seen any palaphobic groups yet. I mean, LFG folks have always been meta addicted, nothing new here.
18 mostly. i dont have achievements for 20
Hm, guess I’ll have to fight through m+ raitings again as I did on my disc xD
