not gonna explain why… cause everyone already knows how bad the holy priest is gonna be…
yeah it might be kinda ok for raid when overgeared but THIS IS NOT ENOUGH BLIZZ…
Well done for removing the idiotic shadow spells that obviously wouldn’t do any good for the spec…
so what the holy priest needs???
BUFF renew more heal or renew will also give +3% dmg reduction … OR BOTH
give us instant [Dark Void] to be able to compete with druids BROKEN sunfire. and be competitive in mythic + dps
[Holy Word: Sanctify] ALSO does instant damage to all enemies (competitive DPS)
Echo of light must tick faster so it will sustain the group in order to give us some time to DPS
MORE UTILITY ASAP (movement , Holy Word: Chastise stun-interrupt BASE, COMBAT RES )
6)KEEP the damaging spells simple with a reduced cast time
BAAM … holy priest READY AND FUN and competitive …
Yes to a renew rework. As is, it’s not worth wasting mana on it, the heal is terrible and takes way too long.
Renew used to be a great spell you would permanently keep on a tank and could throw out on teammates when they were a low prio but still needed topping up…lets go back to that
I wish I truly understood how echo works. Like I throw some heals out and it tells me echo is healing for 30k, so I continue to throw out another heal and all of a sudden it says its now only healing for 26k … I don’t get it
I dislike the fact that we just got pruned again. They should have made those shadow spells usefull instead of taking them away… like adding a talent that makes certain shadow spells debuff damage…
I think personally they where allready rather usefull in PvP… this is another one of those moments where PvP proofs to be an afterthought for Blizzard.
Based on the size of your initial heal and your mastery, a portion of your healing goes into Echo. Let’s say you have 50% mastery and you heal someone for 100K. Now they have an Echo worth of 50K on them. Echo will last 6 seconds and will tick twice during that duration, so it will get two instances of 25K ticks from it.
If you cast a new spell when your old Echo is still on them, it doesn’t overwrite it and instead gets added to the old Echo, also refreshing its duration. Let’s say the previous example of 50K Echo has now ticked once, so there’s 25K left in the pool. You heal the target for 60K (while mastery is still 50%) and now they have an Echo worth of 55K on them (25K+30K) for 6 seconds instead, ticking twice for 27.5K.
As an additional note, while it’s good to understand how Echo works, it’s never worth it to play around it. Just play like normal, let Echo do its work passively.
