Hi, just a bit of feedback.
I just wanted to talk about how it feels to play Holy priest right now.
I discovered Holy priest in dragonflight season 4 and fell in love with the class so I only know hylo priest for about a couple months.
Let’s get straight to the point. Holy priest is not fun for me at the moment.
The reason why is that the smooth, slow and almost “perfect” gameplay that i found in dragonflight is gone. The great thing about dragonflight season 4 for holy priest is that the gameplay was slow and every spell that you pressed felt powerfull wich allowed for the great dopamine to flow when you were able to make a good play by pressing it exactly when it mattered. The learning curve was steap and felt very rewarding.
Now let’s talk about the war within so far.
Gameplay is much much faster. I can’t read my enemies nameplates as I am constantly pressing any ablity that procs to keep my teammates alive. Sure you can still make good plays and all. Very good players will maybe not feel the difference as much as I do.
The thing is that now I am just waiting for any ability that I can press ASAP instead of making tactics in my head of how I can counter that enemy healer and all. Pressing any ability feels almost meaningless as you refill the bar constantly over and over wich allows much less thinking and strats.
I think I made my point.
- gameplay is much faster
- It makes it much harder to read the game and do tactics in arena
- Pressing you spells is much less satisfying and meanigfull
- You are constantly pressing any ability that procs (wich makes the gameplay less smooth and predictable)
I was waiting for tier set bonuses and all as I didn’t want to judge The War Within gameplay too quickly. For me, I am just gonna avoid arenas and that’s it.
Cheers
