Im casual low ranked SS healer, living around in 1300-1400 MMR. Currently it seems for me main issue to get higher is when dampening starts to hit hard after approx 2minutes. Its typically game over for me. Because at this time I already have not much cooldowns left, i almoust always loose against disc priest, simply I cant keep alive anyone with flash heal or even there is any CD left i cant win, things are sometimes a bit better with resto druids it is somehow a bit easier even with its CC hell. If im able to survive to second spirit of redemption then changes are a bit better.
Against other classes specs, hard to comment because they almoust does not exist
Main question is which CD you preserve when dampening starts to hit hard, any rotation advices etc, how to get higher
Just throw a cc in here and there on the enemy healer, can make one loose really fast in shuffle as you just get behind on the healing
Always stand close to max range in shuffle and standing close to a pillar helps, watch out for your own dps as many do not have a overview of their own placement, so they tend to pull dps to you and stack, making it possible for the enemy to easily cc ya
Or they run away from you or cut corners when you are healing them, I tend to tell people to not LOS but some dps react strange to it, so watch out
If you do not like shuffle, try 2s it is way more chill and much easier to climb
As a healer you will find people in no time even as a non fotm healer
These are my advices for you, hope it helps a tad
If you think it will be a high dampening game, try to get your Spirit form > Divine Hymn combo as early as possible. 2 minutes after you will have it again to save the game.
As long as you are able to heal, try to avoid CC and heal without pressing Void Shift. Try to save Trinket + Void shift as a last resort. Would suggest a simple weakaura to track tierset for free Holy Word: Serenity charges to manage it as well as possible.
Consider ray of hope experimenting to have 1 more CD to save the game. If the ending of the game is going to be very close (your teammate is about to die and an enemy is about to die, Ray can add 6 seconds difference to that at minimum)
By WA I mean when you have the proc, as on this screenshot - https://imgur.com/a/di9CEgP
In case you want such a proc tracker, check out the WA on https://wago.io/0yAlcOabN
The icon is the same as the buff itself, but I just use the WA because I can’t be asked to look at the top of my screen to see if I have the buff for a free Serenity or not.
Nono, this is just a lie according to other people on the forum. Your positioning just sucks if they stack on you. Never the DPS that are at fault for playing on the healer, always healers fault.
