Hot take:
Royal blood means litterally nothing.

I think it could be an interesting plot for him to go through, the idea of following in the footsteps of his father, and his father before him, or following whatâs in his heart. But also the notion of a character being âbornâ into greatness is generally something that most media is trending away from now. Greatness isnât genetics, greatness is action.
We all know that the Wrynn bloodline died with Varian anyway since Anduin is the bastard son of Arthas and Jaina so what does it matter
The Alliance should dismantle the High King title alltogether and make a council, and have SW be governed by itâs own council too.
Let Anduin live his life without pressure.
No child deserves to be related to the worst character not only in BfA but in fact all fiction
now youâre thinking with anarchism
Heâs the Warch-High King of the Alliance. Who is going to stop him from adopting and declaring his adopted child his heir?
Literally the only bloodline that needs to continue is the Redfield bloodline, as everyone knows.
Anduin should get a harem with both genders, that way he can be a progressive symbol for both LGBT and polygamy while still being a good representation of monarchy!
Anyway I agree with the people making the ToS argument as I stated from the getgo!
this but unironically
I wasnât being ironic! It would be a very grimdark twist too which I like!
Late to the party (as always) but when I first started RPing (end of MoP) I had that exact dynamic between my female DK and another (played by a good friend of mine at the time) and while many would scoff and assume it was teenage boys being weirdos it was actually pretty wholesome as our DKs struggled to reconcile their deaths and exist in the world of the living, so they stuck together, hunting rogue undead, other DKs or protecting Darkshire (insert dead horse here).
God I miss being oblivious to everything in RP
Gnomes have been doing democracy for yonks in the alliance. Itâs about time everyone else caught up.
And now theyâve reinstated a monarchy, but itâs a representative democratically elected monarch. Gnomes are like the most progressive race in WoW in terms of both tech and social ideas, not even joking.
Anduin doesnât want an heir? Let him do whatever. The important thing is to let the political restructuring be handled by Gnomes.
Oh yeah? When was the last election? HMM?
Whenever they need to. Mekkatorque is just that great of a guy.
Thereâs no formal number given for election periods, presumably because Mekkatorque has held the position uncontested for decades. Interestingly prior to being elected Monarch the office of High Tinker held no legal power, rather itâs an appointment of distinction and respect, and Gnomes tended to follow the HT out of choice rather than legal compulsion, because the HT couldnât legally compel them. So from a technical point of view Gnomes have been self governing for hundreds of years purely based on consent without formal legal process, which means thereâs no possibility of Gelbin abusing means of holding the office, because technically and legally nobody had to listen to him anyway. Another point for Gnomish progressive values.
High Tinker is a title granted to the elected leader of the Gnomes, chosen by common consent, based on the merits of their work. Despite this, it does not hold any legal authority to compel gnomes to listen to the High Tinker; meaning it serves as a figurehead and representative chosen to speak for the gnomes by virtue of respect. After the departure of King Mechagon four hundred years ago, gnomes moved away from monarchy, choosing instead to elect one of their own to the office of High Tinker
Taken from wowpedia
Is that Mechagon lore from BfA or did he exist in lore prior?
because Mekkatorque has held the position uncontested for decades.
yeah that sounds like a true democracy
Mekkatorque more like Massacretorque because he murders all his potential political rivalsâŚ
Gnomes are complete sociopaths so this tracks tbh
Whatâs a few lives in the name of SCIENCE!
I think the topic is getting derailed at this point, or that generally it seems to have reached its closure but the point is entirley valid, homophobia has no place in RP, end of story.
