There’s a couple reasons I can think of, but none of them are good.

  1. OOC overreaction to IC LGBT characters being “too common”. Gee, sorry that roleplaying characters in a fantasy world don’t accurately reflect real-world demographic stats?

  2. Desire to be “edgy” by having your character behave in some obnoxious, overtly negative way, with the justification that “It’s medieval”. Lazy writing, nothing more.

  3. OOC homophobia masquerading as IC homophobia. It’s usually this one.

This story is a lot weaker if you go Dark Side. It ends with you being told you are unworthy of being granted the title of Master, but you still get it for gameplay reasons. And a lot of the voice lines are just so childish - including one instance of calling someone bantha poop.

I believe in the beta you were told to sod off by the Council, but then Republic steps in and grants you the rank of General, for all the good you’ve done for them.

Yeah, Admiral Darbin still grants you the title of honorary general for your service to the Republic, but since Bioware made the game quite a bit less RPG friendly when it went live, you still end up with Master as your title in game.

Honestly, it always amused me that people who knowingly killed Malavai Quinn complained about the fact they lost a companion. Because it was their own choice to lose one!

Initial discussions are suggesting your Dusty Bois and my Golden Bois come out of the 9th points changes very well, especially compared to some others (GSC, Chaos as-a-whole, etc).

Oh, and yeah, Homophobia is bad. Calling it a phobia is pretty bad; ‘you’ (generic people aimed) can be irrationally scared of moths, or spiders, etc. But you’re not ‘scared’ of LGBT+ peeps, you’re just intolerant :slight_smile:

Inquisitor also gets class-specific dialogue from Darth Marr claiming he doesn’t trust anyone else but Nox to lead the expedition with him due to your power duo domming the Dark Council into shape

With every other class Marr makes it clear you’re not his equal, despite the fact that the Outlander is meant to be the co-leader.
