Homophobia in rp needs to cease

Yeah even some MMOs are pretty good at this. Guild Wars 2 comes to mind, it had its problems but it did at least give you choices on your body shape. Though I mostly played asura and charr, admittedly, and they had barely any sexual dimorphism.

WoW is very behind in this regard! Its nice we’re getting new hairstyles and stuff but I think some body sliders would be better, or even just presets of different body shapes. But I guess that’s a lot of work :stuck_out_tongue:

Honestly presets of different body types would be nice and Blizz wouldn’t have the excuse of too much work as they’d presumeably have with body sliders.

I’d prefer body sliders but it’d definitely be an improvement! It’d be a good comprimise in my opinion but I won’t hold my breath on it happening lol

It’s a compromise that’s more realistic than Blizzard actually adding in body sliders :pensive:
I’d just personally love to have more body types for different characters instead of BIG BULK and Petite Lady uwu.

glad to see you found a guild befitting your intellect instead of parading as a bad guard RPer

Uh, tail, that was about it.

I’m really on the fence when it comes to people using the female model for males and vice versa.

I know it sucks that every dude is built like a fridge and I freely admit I’d probably dig a male tauren model closer to females, just with a broader waist and shoulders and more masculine face.

But at the same time, “I can’t ignore the muscles” but you can ignore the very large breasts that nearly every female model has? And I mean big badonkers. Packin some dobonhonkeros. Massive dohoonkabhankoloos. Big ol’ tonhongerekoogers. Especially on female humans. And that’s not even accounting for the extreme hourglass shape bordering supermodel figure.

I don’t know, I won’t immediately judge someone harshly for it but it is something that makes me go “Eh?” as I’ve played MANY characters nowhere near the body type of the in-game model without feeling like I HAD to pick the opposite sex to represent them, largely because they lean so strongly in the opposite extreme anyway.

And, yeah, vast majority I have seen have blatantly been fishing for ERP or develop a reputation for it. I am literally racking my brain to it’s limit trying to recall one male character I’ve met using the female model that was NOT a “femboy” or “EXTRA T H I C C”. And I am genuinely 100% coming up with nothing.

I’m sure someone, somewhere, is doing it without their lust slider turned to max but I have never met them in the 6+ years I’ve been on this server.

It’s not enough to make me immediately /ignore every single person that uses the opposite sex model on sight, but I usually end up doing it because it is INCREDIBLY apparent in their TRP what they’re after in the long con even if they appear innocent enough in the RP happening then and there.

tl;dr: If someone wants to do it and genuinely wants to do it properly, fantastic, do whatever you want. But I honestly can’t blame people for being sceptical.

I will absolutely be in favour of alternative body types in the future, even if it was just a flat chested version of every female character model that would go a long way. Though ideally a broader waist and shoulders with a masculine face to boot as a third option to that would benefit a bunch of my own characters.

I would also massively dig a buff option for every female model, because I think that would fit a lot of warrior types more than pencil waist boobs mcgee that we have right now as our only options.

tail, face shape, musculature, waistline were the go-to identifies.

ya but tail was the easiest one.

Didn’t they also have different horn shapes between the males and females?

Yeah but memorizing those is a lot more work than the other simple identifiers.

At least I can PvP

Pressing 2 PvE trinkets are about as much pvp as seeing all the GW dmg in arena.

I can’t tell if this is a genuine back and forth or just people poking fun but if it’s the former it’s pretty damn sad.

Back on topic:

This. All of this. I knew it was a long shot, but I was secretly hoping for the skinny, forsaken-model kul tirans (Gaunt vagabonds I think they’re called in-game) so that there could be this greater degree of visual aesthetics.

But yeah, not male IC isn’t inherently a bad thing, but I’m still yet to see more than one or two instances of gender non-conformity or legitimately abiding by this skinnier model idea compared to what feels like an ocean of fetishized femboy RPers :frowning:

At least I have the trinkets

This is like that time you tried to throw shade at me in my own god damn discord for your hunter having a higher rio, which causes me to point out all your flaws.

Anyway, instead of derailing further on this thread.

We’re just bantering abit, bad habit in these threads but at the sametime this topic kind of goes in circles.

That said on the topic of using a diff model to show another gender/sex IC, everytime I see someone refer to their female character as a “femboy” or forbid “futa” I am instantly noping out as both are just gross and the latter is especially disgusting in a way of fetishizing trans people while also denouncing it as such.

3.8k posts of homophobia is bad, transphobia is bad, use the character models you want but don’t do it for sexy reasons… Anything else? Think we nailed it all tbf.
