Honest question

Final days of attempting to pvp and I am wondering how exactly is Destro (mainly) supposed to “flow” in pvp.

Honest question, when it was designed what was the vision?
I would love for someone to describe or even show it in a video. Genuinely curious.

For e.g. for melee it’s pretty obvious - you just go in and uh… hmm… combo-wombo-mongo-cc kill everything?

  • you decide when skirmishes start or pause or finish
  • you got the cc, the interrupts, the unlimited chases
  • most importantly you got the instant uninterruptable higher for some reason damage

For casters

  • you wait to be attacked or eat an opener
  • you mostly react and get countered by better toolkits
  • you are outclassed in your attempt to do damage, since it’s lower on Training Dummies compared to melee with no interruptions and standing still, but in PvP it’s (hint for designers) slightly different.

So, how is it supposed to “flow”, since obviously i am not at that skill level or i’m not grasping the concept.

Open to opinions!

Cheers! Respect your time.

For caster you have to use skill, as melee you have to mash few random buttons.

Play an instant cast build and run away as good as you can. Blizzard nerfed our survivability again way to much.

They couldn’t handle that casters are strong at the beginning of the expansion.

Expectedly, the answer is generally non-existent, as nobody ever thought about it xD

I hate mongocleave it is my weak point. We lost a lot of fights yesterday because of this. But everyone keeps telling it is a caster addon, melees are bad…
