I just did this on my alliance alt, I figured the quest might be restricted to alliance but not the mount itself. So I was disappointed when I eventually got it and couldn’t use it on my horde characters.

I’m sure there’s a good reason for why it’s restricted and would appreciate if anyone who knows would tell me, but the horde mounts like Kua’fon can be used by the alliance and they quest took over many weeks to do whilst I got the Bee done within a week. It would be nice if it became unrestricted to the horde.

Because the whole war thing was down to sylvanas being jealous that alliance got a bee mount and she wanted one but couldn’t have one. It’s a totally legit lore thing from a totally legit void elf

Yeah, there is:

Alliance Players cried for 9000+ years, blizzard caved and gave them an exclusive mount.

I was super disappointed when I logged on to my Vulpera, saw the preview then realised it was blacked out with alliance only symbol

It’s to compensate for all the horses and our non exclusive dino mounts they can use

It’s an alliance exclusive mount because it’s a compensation for the alliance, because the Horde got 3 new mounts for reputations (2 of them flying) and the alliance got 3 horses.

It’s an alliance exclusive mount because it’s a compensation for the alliance, because the Horde got 3 new mounts for reputations (2 of them flying) and the alliance got 3 horses.

When flying was released, the Horde got a spectral Pterodactyl while the Alliance got 3 Gryphons too.

Both Horde exclusive quest line mounts can be used by Alliance.

We are not permitted to use the Bee from the Alliance exclusive quest line.

My best guess would be because they got so many horses.
