Honor calculation

Numbers seem way off, never ever felt this slow in all the time I have played wow.

They nerfed honor gains in pre-ptach to insane lows. I believe they think it will keep players subscribed for longer

They are wrong, I’m done.

I farmed as alliance without premading for 2 hours yesterday - 800 honor  How pathetic is that? How are people supposed to farm like 200k honor every season for honor gear? With alliance low winrate (because ye, 90% of PvP players play horde because of racials) it will take me exactly 250 hours of farming which means I will get honor gear in 3 months of everyday playing, nice

Im glad horde gets their problems solved … guess I picked a wrong faction for PvP :frowning:

This just shows how far away are they from their playerbase. Most people are disgusted by the amount of grind you need to undergo for an entry level PvP gear. I would have like 5 fully PvE geared characters sooner than 1 character with honor set.

Now imagine you had 2 hour queues on top of that.

I was getting less 400 hour per hour as a solo Q, due to Russian pug alliance losing most of the time with 4-5 bases in AB and EOTS. At this rate it would take me, what, ~50 hours for a single pvp piece like boots? You’d have to be insane to do this grind without a premade facing pugs as alliance.

I played during TBC. I don’t remember it being so hard. But if the numbers are correct, it’s either because there weren’t so many premades (I don’t remember facing any) or because the factions were much more balanced and the winrate wasn’t this obnoxiously low for my faction.

That lightbulb above your head is so close to lighting up. I believe in you, you can do it.

With much higher winrate tho.

yeah well you can all literally thank this ONE Andy for the low honor gains

not only did snitch Andy here ruin honor farming for everyone everywhere, but he actually posted incorrect numbers based off of private server info, that doesn’t at all correlate to tbc classic.

the reason it takes you an extra week to farm that one new item, is solely because of this guy, and the fact blizzard just took his word for it, and haven’t reversed the change.
we are actually making less honor per bg now than we ever did before in the history of the game. as a matter of fact, before they pulled this BS off, you were getting more honor per bg in the lvl 30 and 40 bgs, than you are at current lvl 70 bgs.

Indeed the amount of honor is ridiculously low. Please change this.

I smell another horde cry campaign coming!

He is not the first idiot to do that or spread false information.
I saw 2 more doing that but I wonder what is he gain from it.
As second thought I realise if blizzard change the nerf base on that idiot that’s mean they have no idea or data about ?!which is mind-blowing

well what he had to gain from it is in my opinion quite obvious.

you notice how he didn’t post this on his main? he knew that this would give him severe backlash.
you notice how he is literally named “Andy” as a sort of weird tribute to Asmongold who uses the name Andy in negative connotations? like “Boosted Andy” or “Lying a** Andy” etc. he did this deliberately, and i suspect it was to gain a headstart in TBC.

see, he probably spent the initial week of the prepatch farming all his bg badges and getting honor cap before blizzard destroyed it as a result of his thread, i mean, there was a million to one chance in hell that blizzard would actually make any changes based off of his information, as this is pretty obvious when you read the initial replies to his post, like people are openly laughing at him as if they were certain that blizzard would do the same.

well lo and behold, Andy got blizzard to listen to the complete surprise and shock of everyone watching, and managed to screw everyone else over.

i know its a bit of a conspiracy nut theory, but i just can’t see why someone would complain about honor gains for any reason whatsoever, with the goal of having it reduced, if not because he already had his farm complete and wanting everyone else to suffer a major setback in that same regard, which would give him weeks if not months of a headstart when it comes to gearing in TBC.

Yeah true me neither to hear some one saying, "omg we take to much honor ".
I am a bit concerned about this. Why ?
Well if this Andy post something like this and blizzard nerf it, With out even show a data from that time then my tought about they also had no idea about thr honor gain from that time . So they just made up the number or made it how they considered healthy for the game. What is amazing is blizzard know is not he right amount of honore then why they did not roll back the ones who took advantage? Make no sense . Of the system was broken then fair and square move all to the start of the prepatch and no honor. This move was very fishy

i think thats a concern we all share after that debacle.
just like we all share in the misery of super low honor gain per bg.
211 honor for a win in EOTS during EOTS weekend is quite insulting.

So I´ve just won a WSG as an alliance, woow. I just confirmed myself I cba about getting honor gear.

I got 300 honor for WSG win (I use WSG as a referrence).

To get full honor gear you need around 220k honor which means about 740 wins in WSG. BGs usually take around 15 minutes (some are longer, some are shorter) to win which is around 185 hours = 7,7 days /played.

So 7,7 days /played counting with zero queue times AND 100% winrate.

Now count with lets say 2 minutes average queue times which is another 25 hours and count with an average 50% winrate (sorry alliance, it will be much harder for you). For BG loss you get around 70 honor. To get 220k honor you need to go around 1200 BGs which translates into 300 hours. Counting with 40 (ye because you need to run 1200 BGs) hours in queue it is around 340 hours = 14,1 days /played time just doing BGs, nothing else.

Average person play like 2-3 hours a day which means they would be able to get full honor gear in 113 - 170 days, ye 3-5 months of daily grind of honor. For gear which lasts for 1 SEASON.

Should I count with alliance winrates? Do you want to play some PvP alts?

Ye honor rate is fine … I guess twitch streamers and people with no job but playing 24/7 have their ideal PvP expansion.

Its such a shame, could be a good PvP expansion with reasonable rates.

I totally agree I swear 200 honor is like tooth pick use on godzilla tooths :)) , now I imagine staying in que 1 h then winning 200 honor I swear il spit the screen of anger . I honestly don’t do pvp now il hope in later, because for the moment o have allot o farm in pve and stuff, but now I feel very discourage to farm the set just because I will lose so much time to farm a s1 set . Kind off not worth it

Man the way you put it now I say f it . Is no way il get close to pvp this is insane :flushed:… yeah you have to be masochist to enjoy wasting so much time for a gear will be replace by arena

well i mean i could be wrong, the guy above said he got 300 honor for a wsg win.
it might be 411 honor for an EOTS win in EOTS weekend, but that’s still a really pathetic reward that doesn’t really change much.
