Hello everyone.
I’m having a go at my first steps in Wrath of the Lich King, i never played the older versions of the game back in the day so I’m happy that we have Era and now Wrath.
I was wondering something about the content in Wrath for Horde, i prefer Horde to be honest, there’s just something about it that gets me more than Alliance does, for those of you that played the game back in the the day or even now is Wrath really an expansion more focused around Alliance? Is stuff like quests in Northrend and things connected to the expansion bad or not up to part for the Horde?
it’s a So So quest lore for the horde, here are the notable differences i found.
Spoilers ahead for a 15 year old expension in case someone cares…

Borean Tundra: Nothing serious horde specific, you’ll mostly be doing busy work (you do have one quest chain ending in finding the scourge general leader is gasp kel’thuzad, and one minichain that end in sourfang ditching his Garosh babysitting to help you kill a necrolord)
Howling Fjord: Mostly forgettable, but you do work on a new type of plague that you deliver to Dragonblight.
Dragonblight: The plague you brought from Howling Fjord is improved and will be used at the wrath gate. that’s about hte only real difference, we get to see lil sourfang get b*tchslapped by big daddy Lich king.
Grizzly Hills: you work for a sociopath orc and eventually you help her “good” sister kill her in a cage match.
Zul’Drak/Sholazar, nothing really.
Storm Peaks: far weaker lorewise the alliance quest lines, you go on a Timy Wimy adventure to help a Tauren restore the timeline by blowing a horn at the right time…
Icecrown: mirror of the alliance quests, other side bad, much confusion, kill the other side, yada yada.
Bonus, undercity scenario: a little better “boss” fights then the alliance version lore wise, thrall is simping HARD for sylvanas.
I played Final Fantasy 14 for a very long time ( i got tired of that one) and also a bit of Guild Wars 2, i bet that WoW isn’t the worst in terms of quests.
