If thatâs the solution Holinka suggested, then the dude should honestly fire himself.
Crimson Combatant gear is crazy expensive on my server (10k to 20k a pop), because itâs a low population realm with an auction house monopolized by leeches who want their next WoW token. Auction house may be region-wide now, but thatâs just for trade materials and not things like gear, recipes, etc.
Donât even get me started on how pricey the recipes are, because some wise guy thought it would be a good idea to make them exclusively rare drops from caches that you earn from⊠get this⊠WINNING BATTLEGROUNDS.
Iâd log in, take a screenshot, post it to Imgur and link it here as proof, but servers are down right now, unfortunately.
âSupport a crafter?â Iâve seen the cesspool of players that spend their days merching and undercutting on the AH. Do I really want to support the kind of player who will probably DM death threats at somebody who undercut their auctions by 1 silver?
EDIT: Server is back up. Unfortunately, canât post links on my posts, otherwise I would have linked an Imgur image as proof. But if you want proof anyway, log in to a character on Quelâthalas Horde, go to the auction house and do a search for âCrimson Combatantâ, youâll find gear that is priced at a minimum 20k per piece.
Prices are so crazy marked-up here that I would need to buy at least two WoW tokens just for gear that wonât get me instagibbed in PvP. And I shouldnât have to wallet-warrior a game just to play it. I already pay a ÂŁ9.99/month subscription fee and already spent around ÂŁ40 on a copy of the latest expansion. Why should I have to pay ÂŁ17 to ÂŁ34 more just to get the ability to survive for longer than one GCD in a battleground?
I think Holinkaâs message should have been "Getting owned in BGs? Too bad, now go buy some WoW tokens to mark up our share price and make our fat-cat Activision overlords happy!"
