I was asking myself (and I don’t want too take away thinks from strong females), does the game have ONE male strong character left, a sword swinging savage, proud and strong

I mean it’s. A Universum full of war, it have too exist or but I just don’t can think of one

Blizzard don’t know how to write a nuanced Horde. Either they are Alliance in red or just mass murderers. Long gone are the W3 days. But frankly, it may be for the best that the Horde is forgotten. None of the two things they are when Blizzard is touching them is worth having.

This is what happens when you have writters that are not able to see the world in something else than black and white.

It’s not even hard to write the Horde, come on. They have new orcish clans leaders that are just waiting to do something (like Gorgonna showing up in the faction meeting at Dornogal, doing nothing after), taurens have at least a dozen of tribes lorewise that could do something, trolls are still users of dark magic, forsaken have the cult of the forgotten shadows, goblins are themselves, elves have a lot of magic shenanigans to explore. You just need to remember they are pragmatic and don’t fear to fight and kill but it’s for the “need” of the Horde, not a free killing, and not an unnecessary one. That and the shamanistic roots that was giving them a different vibe in Classic, and the magic roots for the other part of the Horde on a darker aesthetic.

horde doesnt fit to this generation, everything has to be bright and clean “heroic”.
There is no space for this kind of complicated stories which horde races presented, its easier to write stories from alliance lens and even rewrite the problematic things in past.

I wish it would be different but considering what direction most of these old franchises are going mainstream safe , i don’t think people have changed that much it is more about being politically correct. And that way pleasing investors

A shame, really.

What was really attractive about the Horde, or at least one of them personally for me, was the unconventional means they used just to exist. Their means preserved their rights to exist; which was present in varying levels in all the different races.

It then set the stage of how culturally different they are. It looked and felt wrong for the Alliance, and in most ways they were right. But that didn’t matter, because why would you care? It’s not like they’re lining up to help you, when in many cases they - rightfully (so what?) - want you dead.

I wish this world remained and evolved. Gradually, the Horde instead lost their controversy, their means, their being. Now it just looks mostly silly. I doubt i’d have stuck for this long without the support of friends and fellow RP’ers.

I really don’t care how many wrong things the Horde did. You can tell me every little thing to the finest minutia about it and I wouldn’t give a damn.

I care that the Horde I personally felt invested in is mostly gone.
