Hello,
sometimes, when im dragonflying the the mount snaps to a perfect horizontal pitch and wont leave this pitch without the camera being tilted for abou 10-15 degrees up or down. I mean the camera is moving but the mount is not steering up/down with the camera. Wich makes precise flying incredible frustrating especially when trying to hit targets like gates in timed races or gatherables. is it just me? i cant find anything usable on this problem. Is it a bug maybe?
Yup, us druids noticed this right away and posted it on our druid sub forums.
There is some sort of active auto-flight and leveling control going on. A self leveling flight control. Built like one inside a plane.
A well built plane wants to fly straight and level. But it wont be maneuverable so you have to introduce circumstances that make the plane unstable in flight, to gain manueverability.
I noticed the day i subbed in late pre-patch, that the flight system was wonky.
In order to change pitch, i had to meet a threshold of at least %15 negative down angle to start a dive. There was a hickup in the diving animation. You can clearly see the hickup in the clip below.

I’ve been noticing this too for the fast few days. It’s incredibly annoying because it basically kills your momentum.
Ive said it before but i think it may be related to the way flight handles collision with water.
this happens with regular flying, not just dragonriding. its been happening ever since prepatch dropped i think and its infuriating actually
Having the same problem.
super annoying.
seems to happen primarily in Azj-Kahet
I noticed it too, usually unmount and /reload fixes it.
Noticed it too, and it is super annoying… I just assumed it was caused by some of the slip stream thingy’s they introduced
I felt like it especially happened when servers were packed. Maybe its some function to throttle inputs when too many people are around?
When other stuff like looting etc was lagging too, i always noticed this snapping more.
But its just a guess.
Thank god I am not the only one.
It feels incredible frustrating while flying downwards only to get being swapped to horizontal and making you miss a checkpoint during the dragon race because it ignored my camera movements for a second or two.
So I was not imagining things…
I’ve had this happen a few times. Worst was when it happened during a race wq, missed some rings because I couldn’t go downwords, would just snap me back up.
We got autopilot in WoW before GTA 6
Some “feature” that got introduced with the prepatch… I honestly hate it, want to disable it.
I made a comment about it at the start of the prepatch and people thought I was being crazy…
I noticed this too. Its a bit annoying but dont encounter it TOO often.
nope. zero problems. you all just need to play a flying game
has to do with a normal flying with some mounts been reported but blizzard aren’t looking in to people hitting the roof.
we are the beta testers sadly on a released version.
Apparently it’s when you mount in water/shallow water.
Have this issue as a druid in flyform in both normal and skyriding.
Would it be too much to hope there is some sort of creative fix for this?
It is ruining the fun of flying around for me… it feels so unnatural, especially since the only way to passively go on long straight trip was always to tilt down for just a little bit, so vigor always regenerates. its BACKWARDS to have this system in a mechanic of vigor regen like that. NOONE wants to fly on horizontal level.
Has it been confirmed to be known from developers that noone at all wants this? i mean, why would any1 want this?!?!
How the hell do they go to implement this! just showing how out of touch from the game they are making they are.
