Struggling to really qualify speed wise for this event. The NPC doesnt really help either!? There just isnt enough time. Any other healers struggling?

The only tip I can give you regarding the follower, is to skip them
Do you use any masks? Have you done any unlocks?
Taking the NPC along hikes up the mobs’ HP by a lot, so that’s not really a solution here, since any DPS gained is negated by the HP-boost.
I don’t like telling people to play differently from what they enjoy, but have you tried Shadow spec? Healing specs are inherently ill-suited to timed solo content.

Because i started my first char. Got to lvl 10, specced resto. Never changed.

Still doesn’t change the fact it’s a race against time… you need to dps.

I keep asking blizzard for making healing content. Even the stupid mage tower is a dps check for healers.
When i am not allowed to do visions as healer, i am simply not doing them at all.

Visions is old recycled content, it’s a dps race then, it’s a dps race now. Asking too much of Blizz there. 
People who insist on running solo content as healers are a fascinating specimen to me.

We just want to play our spec. Just like the rest of the playerbase.
Super weird to ask healers to never play their spec, unless they are in a dungeon or raid.

Yes. Had to do in on shadow. Managed to do all wings for the mask. But it’s still hard for me as I don’t play spriest much
Use invisibility to skip the mobs in some places

It’s not like healers don’t have damage spells. There is nothing wrong with buffing damage abilities for open world unless you are in pvp mode

Then where’s the danger if you can just solo Rare Elites healing yourself up while maintaining competent dps? DPS struggle to solo those, or just can’t.
They could make the heals not heal much unless in party. The game isn’t meant for healers in the open world for some reason
They don’t even have healing quests like in ff14
Go ask that fury warriors or RT palas or hunters and locks.
They all have historically no problems with that since they either have pets or heal themselves good enough.
And all tanks are also allowed to do that solo.
And to be honest rare elites are not a good reason to not let healers do solo content.

I mean, it’s as easy as ever to change specialisation. Isn’t this a cue to try out Shadow instead? What’s the catch? You can use the same gear, just may need to get used to it a couple of minutes.
Wouldn’t it be easier if you simply swapped to your DPS spec?
But tbh Holy Priest is pretty good for the open world, definitely better for tagging in the Nightfall event than Shadow.
I can not even name 1 enhanc ability though. No it will not be easier. I just want to play my spec like everyone else.
