In the spirit of accessibility, Blizzard ought to consider turning glasses into a cosmetic option for character creation and the Barber Shop.
Players should feel represented, and wearing Head-slot transmog (such as a cool hood or flowers) should not come at the expense of your glasses (and vice versa).
An optional solution could be to turn glasses into a buff from a Toy, or to add a new item slot for accessories.
Not a toy but a toggle about glasses could be a good idea.
Irl i wear glasses but sincerely i dont care about represntation. I.like to change and sometimes wearing glasses.
I both agree and disagree. On the one hand, I think the barbershop should take care of your physical body or face only while items should take care of articles of clothing and other such things.
In this particular case, I do think the toy makes the most sense, although it should be available to ALL players, even new players at level 1, and it should be a toggle.
I also wouldn’t mind some extra item customisation on character creation. I don’t think the barbershop should give us glasses, but I do think there should be an extra screen on character creation which features various options in terms of starting items and toys like glasses before entering the world. It just makes sense if you think about it - why wouldn’t there be variety in our inventories before the adventure begins as well?
I think they should also make the transmog adhere to the armour slot rather than the armour piece. I had this idea in remix for gems and tinkers because it was such a pain swapping all the time.
i agree. i just begun when i reach max ilvl. b4 is just a pain. i stopped to put powers and gems (excpet trinkets and rings) til 70. is more changing powers than playin.
I’m partial to a ‘face slot’.
Such a slot could accomodate things like glasses, masks, cigar, fake nose etc etc.
Likewise something like the trading post bandanas we’ve been getting, shouldn’t be head slot either, but rather ‘neck slots’. That could also give rise to much more neck accessories like scarves, shawls, necklaces, chains, neck bolts (ala frankenstein’s monster) and all that jazz.
