It is a huge annoyance to me that to play WoW at your peak, you either need to be a genius or leave the game to search online. This ranges from what a simple item says where the tooltip gives you no clue to how to complete some random quest or a vast majority of other things.
However, with all the recent fast paced hotfixes, I feel like I’m either missing info or getting it late. So my question is, why can’t blizzard release an in-game message or something which tells all players what has been fixed/changed?
The hotfix notes they do post are incomplete anyway.
For example, there is no mention anywhere that Brann’s damage has been nerfed (less damage increases per level) and also seems more squishy.
There is also a bug now where he’ll do damage as if he was set to “healer” even though he has the damage dealer role. The workaround for that is to enter a delve with him set to “healer”, and then INSIDE the delve change from “healer” to “damage dealer”. If you enter with him as a damage dealer, his damage output will be low.
Where? I’ve never seen that, I’m looking at the launcher right now. I’ve always had to go to MMO Champion, Reddit, WoWhead etc to find such information.
They will not have notification or all the upcoming hotfixes being show ingame somewhere. You do need to go externally to get this information.
That is on the news section, once that has been officially posted, and they place that article within the news feed on the launcher. So it’s not always going to be there at the time of the post being made on their website/forums.
There were some nerfs to monster damage in delves as well, which didn’t went to patch and were rev engineered by wowhead. Quality of the patch notes is extremely poor and given the amount of changes/fixes during this week it really does not feel good, each day you’re going in the delve not knowing what to expect. And not in a good spelunky way.
I feel gaslighted, when I have the feeling than smth is changed, go to the patch notes and there is nothing about it.
