Hourly lockout for instances since Warband release

Hello there! Now that we have account wide collecting in terms of Transmog, I really hope Blizz address the 10 instance lockout per hour. Now that I can collect on one character, it is REALLY hindering my ATT progress, Data for Azeroth progress and in game completion. I know its there to hinder bots, but its hindering A LOT of collectors too.

Please consider it! Thanks

I agree but only because I’m forced to.

I agree this should be revised, or looked at being improved in some way.

We are currently limited to ten instances in an 60 minute period:-

I’ve been doing a lot of mog farming the last couple of days with the Warband changes and on really old raids/content or Legacy LFR wings it’s so easy to hit that cap. I haven’t even tried dungeons, that must be so much worse.

We shouldn’t need to have an army of characters on different realms purely to be able to get around this limitation. I realise these limitations are initially put in to stop botting or limit their impact. But we shouldn’t always have to suffer too :frowning:

Would be nice if they could up the limit or find some way of making it easier for genuine players.

I didn’t have an issue when I was doing old raids. Is this for just dungeons? Farming those for mogs is definitely hindered. Increase it to 30 maybe?

For me it was the LFR wings when I queued up in Dalaran for example. Same with the Garrison queueing up for all the WoD LFR wings.

I have to ask: How do you guys manage to hit 10 instances per hour? Are you like spamming Stockades? Without even taking a bio break or general break?

Like I said queue for every LFR wing in Dalaran and you hit it pretty quick. They are just three bosses, some are just one.

I must be tabbing out to chat on discord too much

I imagine doing a tour of dungeons will be worse especially in older content.

It’s the same limit that catches most out when it’s an event boss too.

No way!
Then they would have to adress the botting problem. That’s too much work.

It took me around 20 mins to do Normal+Heroic Deadmines. Then another 10 to teleport back to Stormwind and clear Stockades. I must be horribly slow and inefficient compared to all of you…

Are you doing it on a max char or a lower one?

There is nothing wrong with not being speedy either. If you are enjoying the pace you’re at then that’s fab!

If anything, it’s a reason NOT to raise it.

Originally done to curb bots farming dungeons, the restriction is pointless now since hyperspawning is a lot more profitable…

So either Blizz removes hyperspawning [which was originally done to counter overcrowding] to make the hourly lockout have a purpose or remove the lockout doing nothing about hyperspawning…

So we can’t mog farm better? Or when there are events?

Don’t hate collectors :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Indeed bots do whatever is most efficient and we’ve suffered several nerfs to gold income from dungeons/raids to combat or at least punish the bots.

However with the changes to us being Warbands they could consider relaxing it a bit more or look at what is causing people to hit the instance cap so quickly.

On this one. Though I do know what my issue is:

  • I kill everything (hostile and neutrals)
  • I loot everything (yes, even those drinks that restore 180 mana and sell for 5 copper)
  • I stop to empty bags mid-dungeon. I know that BoP drops go to the mailbox, but there are also BoE ones that can be sold at the AH for quite some prices.
I’m inefficient due to choice

I curse when I start the next raid and I’ve not sold the stuff in my bags yet!!!
