Dear Team,
I have participated in the housing PTR and if I may I would put in my two cents.
- Adding furniture to storage
Could be a good idea to be able to stack furniture and mass add it to housing storage. (not on item by item basis, takes ages) - Light vs item capacity
A lot of item capacity is spent on making rooms brighter. Could be worthwhile to give players more control over ambient light - Furniture creation
I have spotted crafting recipes for dornogal furniture, but I was unable to craft it inside the house, have to go to the crafting table. This is a bit illogical, that we have to leave our house and go to dornogal, craft the furniture there, and then come back. - Zone fatigue
Both zones are well done artistically, but no matter how brilliant a zone is, you cant make everyone love it.
As wow veteran (played since Europe launch), I am very tired of Elwynn forest by now, even though it’s a magnificent zone. Same for Durotar.
I really advise to consider adding at least 1 housing district per expansion. So 1 for TBC, one for WOTLK etc. This will fall nicely with expansion release schedule too.
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY
- Gameplay
Furniture hunting is fun, but there is nothing to actually do inside the house.
I have played PC games since 1996 and own over 1000 games. This is the 1st and unique case, where there is nothing to do inside the house.
I am a big fan of Sims and I love decorating, but even there majority of items are not just pixels, they have in-game use: changing sims mood, sims making money, sims gaining skills, etc.
The only items we can interact with in WOW PTR rn are chairs, doors and torches.
1 hour in, I was frankly bored already.
So furniture hunting is fun, but kind of pointless tbh, because there is no reason to go to the house rn.
Please throw in some housing activities, the ones which are universally popular across games and game mods and are a sure hit.
Storage access (in wow its bank access), crafting tables, flower pots for gathering herbs, portal room etc. - you know, the classic hits, the beloved housing features
Because rn housing really feels like a 2000s interior design software – its pretty nice, but very very (very) niche.
Thank you for reading this and best of luck!
