Would really like half melee half caster spec or class that uses staff.
There is no staff users in game that goes on full melee. Greatest chacter in videogames that uses bo staff as a weapon is hands down Kilik from Soulcalibur series. Here are some moves how Battle Mage could play as an inspiration.
Just add arcane, frost and fire attacks to here and there.

You already have enhacement shamans and paladins for that.
We don’t have staff wielding magic user who can also attack with melee strikes and kicks. Brewmaster is different. All 2-handers are swords or axes, 90% in cases swords, not even 2-handed maces or mauls.

Looks hot yeah, but needs more kicks and staff whirls like Kilik does. And you cannot cast any cool elemental spells. Shaman with staff is not Battle Magus either.

How about a short to mid range (0=20yd) combatant that uses their weapons to channel attacks both in melee and at a distance?
A sword in one hand to launch flaming/frozen/concussive slashes as auto attacks and a staff in the other to cast class abilities.
there’s always balance druid.
Just bonk people on the head with your staff then run off flapping your stupid moonkin arms.
