Okay, let’s think. WoW and Blizzard as a whole in a deep pile of crap like never before, because:
Their reputation is completely tarnished, the Blizzard side of the company is a literal meme, worse than Activision, due to being sued by a state.
They also decided to blame their own faults on anyone else in sight instead of trying to be humble or at least shutting the hell up if they are not capable of doing that.
SL is the third expansion in a row where player feedback gets almost completely ignored right from the alpha testing and then they are the ones who surprised when barely anyone likes their product.
SL is the first expansion where almost all the well known content creators give up on creating WoW content due to not having anything positive to say about it.
JAB stepped down, and two people took his place, one of them only talked about how diversity is very important to her, the other one is happy that people think him being a gamer is good enough, and none of them actually addressed the current situation, they said nothing about how will they try to solve the ridiculously toxic work environment issues.
Ion is completely silent during this expansion, the only communication between him and the community was congratulating the WF guild for their win.
The only good thing that can be said about WoW is that it used to be good and people made friends and put a lot of time into the game, which constantly makes us stay, for now.
Majority of those youtubers didn’t even know at first if they will find success covering something else, since people watched them for years only because of their WoW content, but sure, go ahead, call them sellouts for trying to have fun with something else while ignoring all the issues and trying to tell yourself that you are capable of thinking.
Either way, since Canadian heritage involves France, at least an English person wouldn’t hesitate to wax on about defeat in that case either. Out of reasons we already discussed in the past.

Pretty much any login session (sans Wednesday as people are usually doing the weeklies and raid but will squeeze out a key late or two maybe)
I suppose the game feels dead if you log in, have no contacts, try to pug and then get declined and decide you’ll give up. But there are solutions to that.
Ye, I only do random bgs rly, and usually plenty want to join up for party and have a multi-bg sesh. Doesn’t seem dead at all. If anything, more active than in the past.
funny thing about these doom/defeatist nay sayers is that they think they are saying something different that does not exist in other games. Therefore these naysayers will always look the way they look.

People leave cause they don’t like the game anymore. If you feel personally attacked, that is a you problem.

Though they better take a better direction in retail and get the thing done/head rolling a.s.a.p we tbc classic lover can only first aid with money and boost our favorite game as much as we can.

It’s like some people badly want it to happen.
There’s a ton of MMOs out there with a TON less playerbase and they are still hanging on quite well.
As OP said, if you don’t like it, uninstall.
Community is at fault as much as the company.
I’ve never witnessed a more toxic community in an MMO than in WoW; and to be fair, I’d love if all these toxic people left.
Lately it feels as though WoW community is much nicer, even in RF.
The community has been terrible since Legion at least. I’ve seen this community get worse and worse every single year. BFA started this boosting fiesta, Shadowlands is now overloaded with it, and currently the only raids still up these days are boost runs, barely any real pug runs, guilds no longer have even 15 online players to get a raidgroup together.
Add to that the same stupid content they have been putting since Pandaria, you have a zone, dailies, rares to farm and thats your content for 6 months before the cycle starts again, same with Argus zone in Legion, Nzoth zones in BFA and now Maw Zones in Shadowlands.
Guess what the new expansion will give you? The same recycled garbage as above, except there won’t be any community left by that point and more content drought.
