I always steered clear of Pandaren for some reason but a few days ago i made one and i am in love! They are so great in every way but i dont see many of these chubby cuties out there, what do you think the reason for this is?

I think most of the hatred for the Pandarens are influenced by others, so they just tag along.
I see nothing wrong with playing a Pandaren!.

They can be more challenging to transmog but so can Kul Tirans.
The female feign death on hunters is hilarious and almost equal to the dramatic male Night Elves.

They’re not that bad, but some highly whingy content creators still can’t get over the whole kung fu panda thing.
The animations are quite good, especially for monk class as the race and class was just made for it so of course they got the better animations for it.
Not stopped playing Pandaren’s since Mists, still got my Monks from that expansion and still mains today.

A few reasons
Some people hate chubby chars
Some people hate animal like chars
Some people hate that the race is on both factions
The one I stand by (I like pandaren, I have several) they’re not included in their faction narrative. It makes it feel like you’re an outsider exploring the faction, kinda like Chen was in wc3. This isn’t a bad thing, as it works nicely tbh. But for races that are supposed to be within their faction, it doesn’t feel like they are at all.
It also means they rarely get story updates related to their place in their faction, or their characters developed outside of neutral pandaren.
So wierdly you’re playing a faction pandaren, but it feels like you’re a neutral “just helping out” because the game and story pretty much treats all pandaren like this
Huojin and tushui last received significant story updates in…mop. the same expo they were introduced in. Beyond that pandaren presence has largely been occasional NPC placement and reminding us that ji and aysa exist, but they dont really get involved like other faction leaders do, spending more time communicating with each other (which again fosters their treatment as a neutral race).

The males were a mistake in design, idk they just look stupid, reminds me of male zandilari, they look so ugly compared to the females like wtf
We pandaren are indeed great, not all are as chubby as others though.

Yeah, I’ve had mine pretty much neutral regardless of in-game faction thing and would not hit an Alliance Pandaren at all. That side still makes no sense whatsoever, sorry Blizzard but it just doesn’t. Didn’t back in Mists where both factions were all. “Don’t speak to the others who chose the other side.”
Fake smile. “Okay.” .oO(Yeah, not doing that.)
As for story, they apologised on that but they still keep on not doing anything with them and when Blizzard does it’s move them out of the main story like Ji Firepaw at Thunder Bluff when things had to go down again.
Need to do better there Blizzard.

Lol what, the male model is superior to the female one vastly. For a start they actually have facial expressions and dont all look wide eyed and spaced out. The female pandaren model is not great when you realise that if you make more than one, the ways of making them look different are very very small. Whereas I have 7 male pandas who all look extremely different, even those that share fur colour
I also contest your mog claim puny. Pandaria has some excellent mogs and Pandaren are the only race that suits them all extremely well because of the obvious Asian motiff. Between all the tier sets, PvP sets, dungeon sets, cosmetic sets and questing sets there is a truckton of good looks.
I will fight anyone who thinks my male pandaren warrior in the throne of thunder white tinted warrior set with the Greatsword of Frozen Hells (in the matching tint) looks bad, because he looks absolutely amazing, belly or not. Far superior to the ten thousand “generic skulls/spikes/fire plate set” you see a majority of warriors running about in.
For my person.
I feel fine pandaren as NPCs.
But, only dislike pandarens can use for player race. It’s so weird.
They are indeed hard to transmog but so are all animal characters like worgen and tauren, thats why i go with casual or no chest mogs on them

Arms it is, fury is for chumps. I should probably mention the warrior in question is not my champion (he’s not max level lol) but you can always fight my Vengeance DH main instead

For me they symbolize the begging of the end of WoW. Nothing personal, but
The fact that 1,3 million unsubed in the first month of MoP, when usually expacs bring more people on the launch day and a total of -2,5 million left WoW during, mainly cause that expansion didn’t resonate with them at all and what they enjoyed/expected to see in WoW.
Cata tested some new systems, but it was MoP who introduced that policy of “we know better what player base wants” and “ignore current players feedback, we need new niche ones”
So yes, I personally don’t have a single Pandaren for these reasons.
