How Blizzard respond to a refund request

Hello there,
I have recently opened a ticket requesting the full refund of Shadowlands Expansion since after playing for no more than 2 days I felt like the game was terrible. I’ve been a loyal customer for 15 years and I have been always pleased with the game, now that I’m not Blizzard just decided to “delete my ticket” without even contacting me!!! How dare you!
Is not my fault I bought the game 2 weeks before the first release date and you postponed it of a month!! Perhaps I have lost my right to get the refund of a lame game that not satisfy me. This is disgusting, unprofessional and not fair. I feel like I want to delete everything since I can’t even give my account away for free without having it banned. Rubbish and sad… Is anyone having the same issue? It’s not about the £65 I have spent “I think Blizzard need those money more than ever”, is about respect!

That’s odd, Blizzard will always reply to tickets and in the case that you’re spamming them will close them outright not delete them.

Are you sure they’re not made on the US side or that you tried to contact them using livechat? The latter will create a dummy ticket that will disappear in past cases.

If you brought the game through paypal i advise you to open a claim with paypal of the transaction, you will get refunded that way 100%. If you paid by card contact your bank and try to get them to do a chargeback.

If you do what yourbadbro says, you will not be able to play again. My guess is they replied in the ticket and you didn’t like the answer. Besides, if you used any of the game you bought they won’t refund it.

The fact that you played for 2 days, probably made it ineligible for a refund. Although it seems that GM’s do have some discretion.

Not really relevant to anything. Being a “loyal customer” does not entitle you to any advantage over those who were not a “loyal customer”.

Blizzard never just “delete a ticket” without a response. Except when a person is continually ticketing them about the same thing that they have already had several responses about, and even then they will warn you that any further tickets on that issue will be ignored.

If you follow this advice, you run a significant risk of getting permanently banned from all Blizzard products. Plus investigated by your bank for fraud, as it would be a fraudulent use of the chargeback system.

Fine, but if he does try to come back after fraudulently refunding their money back they will not be able to. That’s the warning.

It’s nothing to do with you, kid.

I seem to know more than you do, bye.

Hey Saneko, no was definitely on the EU website. The fact that really looked strange to me was exactly this. They deleted my ticket after 1 hour, without replying to me. In 15 years I have openened several tickets and even if they couldn’t do anything to help me they would always reply at least

The ticket was deleted without any reply … and it was the only one I sent.
The warranty on every product on the market starts from when you actually buy the item/product. If you try it and you don’t like it even after a week you are entitled to take it back anyway I have no hopes to get my money back if I have to be honest with you. We are after all just numbers.

It’s not the right way unfortunately. I play and enjoy other Blizzard games and I want to keep it that way.

I don’t think that’s quite true for digital products, did you try the automated system for getting your money back.

Digital products such as downloadable games, movies and music are explicitly excluded from the 14 day returns, unless proven to be faulty than your usual statutory rights apply.

Well… I’m sure people would argue bugs are faults but this means major faults like not working at all. I think the OP just doesn’t like the game, which is different.

I think only bugs that prevent ability to use the software outright are classed as faulty for the purpose in cases like this.

And I too am quite sure this is just a “I don’t like it” thing, which is not covered under the Sale of Goods or Distance Selling for games.

Of course, it depends on where the person is, different countries different laws. I just tend to assume UK.

the fact that is really bugging me is how they reacted to my ticket lol. Ticked cancelled … Job done …NEXT!

indeed you are right. It’s a shame since they offered the refund of the game when they delayed the expansion… but I was too excited to see it to even consider that option.

They don’t delete tickets.
As Trovlak said further up the thread, the only time this happens is if someone has made a lot of tickets about the same thing and it’s something they can’t help with. Even so, they give a warning this will happen.
I reckon your ticket went wrong somehow … though I’m pretty sure you won’t get a refund after all this time just because you don’t like it.

I wish I could post a screenshot with all my other tickets “archived” and this particular one that says “cancelled”. I would not even bother to write a post in the forum, I just needed to know if someone else had the same issue. about the money I know I will never get them back…

Sounds like Ananda was right then, that you have made loads of tickets about it and they have finally started cancelling them rather than answering them.

People have had the same issue when they won’t take no for an answer, Blizzard cancel tickets on the same subject if you have already made quite a few.

btw you can post a link to a screen shot from somewhere like imgur using the preformatted text option in the reply box.

even facebook? I don’t open to many ticket to be honehttps://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=145641947342138&set=a.145641967342136st
