I am a notorious quest completionist.
In order to see low level quests, I use the addon Questie
(I also tried CodexLite, but it is not as configurable. There is also ClassicCodex, however there are for some reason two versions from different authors, both are not TBCC ready).
Seeking out exclamation marks in the environment of the game is imo an integral part of the WoW questing experience, which I would not like to miss when I return to a lower level zone for fun.
Is there an other/additional addon, or maybe a macro command, that enables low-level quest markers in the game world environment above the NPCs heads?
I’m sure there is an option on questie for that go into Settings and check they also have a journey system where you can organise quests by zone in a list
Of course Questie has lots of options for low level quests, it is a great addon.
However these options only apply to the world map and minimap. Not to the actual environment, I jut took another thorouh look.
Suggestion for Questie:
If it is not possible due to script limitations (but afaik the client is Legion-based, the code may be there), a 2D icon above the NPC name (with no nameplates) maybe could do the job.
Addon’s can’t put anything in the actual game world. They only can display stuff on UI. Option to show low level quests was added in later expansions. In TBC server controls this and hides quests that are much lower than you.
