I do no damage to mobs… How can I get a new weapon? I have done instances but get no weapons…
Why are there no quests that gives weapons?

Just keep doing instances like dungeons and maybe a bit of IEs
and also you can trying buying 300-310 ilvl item off the AH for cheap. they’re 4-5k at the most currently.
I’m lvling…
yeah, try island expeditions and dungeons, mobs drop some weapons too, just keep doing what you’re doing and pray ro RNGjesus
I remember a few questlines on Horde that hand out weapons at the end, though I don’t remember the names of those quests.
One in Nazmir when you become friends with bwonsamdi, one in Zuldazar where you become friends with Nesingwary and one in Vol’dun where you run around as lightning and kill the snake king.
The Nesingwary questline is pretty nice if ur in dire need of a weapon because u can just go and do it real quick, the Vol’dun one takes forever to reach.
Questing gives weapons. it may not be the one you want but it’s useful so use it.
that and the Titan chain and both are blue
this is normal, say thanks to scaling
Beyond just “keep doing dungeons”, and then “keep doing raids” there’s little you can do…
You could try praying or sacrificing a gambler to the R.N.G. gods:
Randomus, Nefarius and Griefius.
I didn’t think it mattered. The mobs scale to you so what ever you get it will be the same. I’ve read some say the better the weapon the less damage you will do cus the mobs get even tougher.
I even did some tests with no weapon as I levelled to 120 and with each successive level I actually did less damage. So even levelling doesn’t actually improve your odds.
I’m not a fan of scaling … sorry. I think it starts to improve at cap so you just have to get there as quick as you can. Dunno haven’t played BfA. Just what I read.
I don’t think there’s any scaling on mobs related to your gear, but there’s definitely scaling related to your level.
At least I’m killing WQuest mobs without trying at 370+, but they were a pain to kill as a freshly dinged 120…
Stop trying to Melee or wand cast them.

Thanks for the source, but as I said, I’ve not noticed any difference in them being tougher when I get a higher item level…
As a freshly dinged 120 I had to pick my battles and not fight too many at once… Now I can just go in, aggro a whole bunch and just blade flurry spam all of them down without trying…
So the item level scaling can’t be very bad. The scaling on enemies between levels 110-120 were terrible in comparison…
I don’t think this is down to scaling, more the power Leggo’s and the gear you had+ secondary stats affecting the scaling more than the mobs just getting stronger.
Your character became weaker as the levels went on. On this lock, I went from 150% Mastery in Legion, all the way down to 20% when I finally hit 120, and now I’m slowly building it all back up. What’s affected players more is the stat squish, but it’s been blamed on the scaling.
I’ve mostly had my weapons while levelling from quests. Occasionally I’ll get one in a random dungeon but I’ve found questing more reliable.
that too, but
a good rare/epic 2h axe had noticeable difference (you “felt” the upgrade immediately) when compared to a green, now it has none
Yeah, but this is all down to gear problems now. You don’t FEEL stronger when you get new things, until you hit certain milestones. Like, hitting 120, you don’t feel stronger till you hit around 320 ilvl, then again at between 345-350 and so on and so on.
But, then again, this could be down to scaling as well. I know scaling is a really big problem, and I hate how scaling is, and hopefully it changes. But, there’s multiple reasons as to WHY scaling isn’t working. Removing scaling might not fix the problems we’re seeing…
Welcome to world of warcraft : warlords of draenor
You are right soon as you ding 116 you lose 2 massive tools (lego’s) and before that you also lose 3 pieces of armour
Head
Shoulders
Chest
With massive amount of second stats on them .
Plus mobs have massive hp pools scaleing in general is awful and they dont allow for 5 pieces of gear to be wrecked.
The idea behind lvling was always to progress and feel more powerful which doest happen now until 325 item + at max lvl its a complete abd utter joke .
People defend scaling because they hope inside somebody from blizzard will notice them and say oh lets give this insert word here something nice which we all know isnt going to happen.
So true. I’d never defend scaling, it’s a terrible thing to add to a PROGRESSIVE style game, since you barely feel the progression, you just go from pulling 5-10 mobs and destroying them at 110, to barely being able to pull 2 mobs at 116, then back again at pulling 5-10 mobs once you hit level 120 and have an ilvl of 340+.
So, in 10 levels and a little work, you’re back to square one and don’t feel any different really. I think that we were given too MUCH power in Legion as well, Leggo’s + the weapon + the trinket from Argus just gave us too much power, we felt unstoppable. For us to go from unstoppable down to being killed by chickens (Love the Zelda reference in Stormsong xD), it just FEELS like we haven’t grown stronger, after 20+ hours of work.
