How can I get gold to a character on another realm?

So basically lads, all my characters are mostly on one realm and I decided to start a new character on a more balanced realm and now I have no gold to buy the flight upgrades at 70 and 80

I heard you can buy account bound items on AH, but how does that work?

  • You could buy pets on one server and sell them on another, but that takes quite a while.
  • You could store a lot of gold on a character and transfer him to the other realm
  • you could buy 2 wow tokens on 1 realm, convert them to bnet balance and then buy another wow token on the new server and sell it there.

With all of them you’ll have a loss in money though

I just wanted to say exactly this, but you was faster :slight_smile:

So I will just add a tip, the price of pets can vary a lot on different realms, so check the price on your new realm before you buy some pets on your current realm.

You can send gold to your alts on other realms as long as they are of same faction

Seriously I don’t know why Blizzard after all this time didn’t implemented for us the option to have the gold account wide. It shouldn’t rly matter on what server I earned the gold I should be able to use it on any I play on.

Best case scenario is looking at your future Realm’s AH and buy all the expensive consumables and items from your realm to get under the limited goldcap.

Pets can work too but imo Flasks and Potions are a lot more efficient although yeah, you will rarily end up at the same amount of gold as before.

Still better than leaving like 150k on a dead realm you no longer play on or spend another 20€ for a realm change.

another method that u might do is character transfer your character with gold to the server you might require gold .but that might not serve your objective .I am guessing

Yes I know about that, but that’s totally another thing, since you need to pay the transfer for the character. And the trading of the pets is for most people just hassle.

Btw I’m not the OP asking for this but still think how if we would get the option to have our gold account wide or the option to transfer the things between the characters we have on the account even if they are on the different servers would be a nice feature to have, especially since transfers cost money and if the players want to move for example to another server for various reasons they rarely transfer all of their chars so in the end they can end up with having high level chars on the servers they don’t have their main on and which become in most cases useless than for them. Also the current inability of that sucks for those which want to start a new character on some other server and which aren’t considering the transferring as an option.

Buy 2 wow tokens on your main realm using your gold, exchange it for balance, use the balance to buy a wow token on your new server and sell it for 170k… It’s a loss but better than nothing.

Depending on how old your main realm characters are, a slow but steady way might be to run your garrison shipyard for the account bound gear tokens.
If you make a demonhunter on your new realm, you can send it the leather tokens for creating gear you can vendor for a few gold. Not sure if class trials can do this for the other armor types.
It is not a quick way, but at least it’s income.

They are for those which farmed enough of gold to buy them.

I mean how much do you want to transfer? Surely less than the price of a single token (180k or so) is not really worth your troubles?

Once you get to exalted with BfA reps you start accumulating gold in spades in BfA. Just by doing a few quests here and there you’re looking at 15k per char every week or so.

The thing is even if it the players have less than that they should be able as I said to transfer the amount between the various of chars they have on the account without any problems. That would be a QOL improvement for the game, so the account wide option for the gold sharing or the ability to mail the things between the different characters we have on the account not related to the server should be introduced.

You are in effect proposing that all server economies be merged. For the small convenience of a few I’m not sure I’d want that.

Most people would benefit from that, people would be able to use the gold they earned in the game anywhere they have their characters on, we wouldn’t have the servers with not rly a well functional economies because they have the small pop, and if we would be able to transfer the things between the various characters on the account we wouldn’t have like some people do now have some of the characters left and useless on other servers since they aren’t essentially benefiting them anymore on the mains they play on some other server.

If you need to transfer several million, buying non-BoE mounts are a good way. Make sure to check the prices on both servers though, or you could lose a lot.
